Hours Later, Thursday
Blair had just gotten out of the bathroom after taking a shower and she was ready to go. She then got startled by Ali who was standing by the bathroom with her arms crossed. "Can you people back down on the jumpscaring?" Blair rolled her eyes. "I came in your room last night and you weren't there, care to explain?" Ali asked. Blair groaned and tilted her head back in annoyance. "You're so nosey, I can't with you-" "if you don't tell me where you were, then I'll tell mom that you were out drinking instead" Ali threatened.
"So you're gonna go lie to mom just because you didn't get your way?" "It's called "protecting" my sister" Ali replied making Blair laugh. "Go ahead, I'm not gonna even stop you" Blair walked past her but then Ali grabbed her arm. "Why do you always have to avoid me?!" Ali asked her. "I don't avoid you, I'm just annoyed by you!" Blair replied. "That's crap! You always shut me out when I want your attention!" "THAT'S BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS SAY THE MOST DUMBEST SHIT AND YOU NEVER TALK TO ME LIKE YOU'RE ACTUALLY MY SISTER!" Blair yelled startling Ali.
Blair placed her hand on her head as she started to feel lightheaded. "Just leave me alone for once!" Blair said to her before storming out of the house. "WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! MOM'S DRIVING YOU TO SCHOOL!" Ali yelled as she ran after her but Blair ignored her as she walked down the sidewalk. Blair turned around the corner and she saw Officer Lou's police car and she sighed in annoyance. He parked by the curve and rolled his window down and looked at her. "Need a drive?" He asked her. "No, but thanks-" "your mother said that anytime you refuse to go anywhere with her, then you gotta go with me" he said.
Blair furrowed her eyebrows, "you know what? Sure, because that's what makes every adult happy, right? Their kids listening to their bullshitted words because apparently, the grown ups know better than their kids" Blair said as she stepped into the backseat. Officer Lou looked at Blair through the review mirror, "did something happen at home?" He asked her. "No," she shook her head. He stared at her through the review mirror not believing her. Blair sighed in defeat, "Ali's just being a brat" she said. "I see. Where's your mother?" He asked. "She was getting ready for the day" Blair replied and Officer Lou slowly nodded.
"Hey, are you sure you want to go to school?" Officer Lou asked her. "Yeah, I have to anyway" she replied as Lou drove down the street. "Why?" She asked. "A second murder just happened yesterday" he replied making Blair's eyes widened and she paused. "What do you mean?" "A teacher from your school. I forgot her name but she's a teacher in your grade" he replied. Blair's eyes shifted down as they were widened. "Who did it?" She asked. "We're not sure yet, but we think that the same person who killed Brittany did it" he replied. Blair layed her back against the seat as shock came over her. "If you want, hun, I can turn back and take you home? I'm not too sure about going to school today" Officer Lou said to Blair.
"I'll be alright, trust me" she said back. He sighed nervously and pulled up in front of the school. "Be safe" he said to her. "I will, thanks for the ride" they both nodded their heads at eachother like usual and Blair got out of the car. She saw Christine who was standing by a tree with a shocked and scared expression. Blair ran up to her, "Christine!" Christine turned and hugged her. "Shit, did you hear what happened?!" She asked Blair. "A teacher was murdered!" Blair replied. "Mrs. Mullins was murdered in her car yesterday!" Blair's eyes widened more and she paused.
"Mrs. Mullins?!" "Yes!" Christine replied. Blair sat on the grass in disbelief and shock. Mrs. Mullins was just murdered. "People are saying that it's probably the same person who killed Brittany!" Christine said as she sat next to Blair. Blair just tangled her hands in her hair as she stared off into distance, she couldn't believe it. "This is crazy..." Blair said. "Yeah, and I heard that they're making the people who have her for their periods, can go home early, so that means that after our 7th period, we can go home!" Christine said to her.
Blair looked at her even more shocked. "HOLY SHIT!" Ian ran over to them. "Where's Jenn?!" Christine asked him. "She's already inside with Seth, but holy shit! Mrs. Mullins?!" He said. "She apparently was stabbed while being strangled!-" "hang it down, you ass!" Christine slapped his arm. "You and Jennifer both with the slapping!" Blair got up off the grass and stormed away. "Blair, wait!" Christine called but Blair just blocked her out and walked inside the school. She started to get more flashbacks on the photos that were sent to her. 1 down, 5 more to go.
She shook her head as she walked in the hallway and that's when she saw Seth and Jennifer at her locker. They both saw her and walked up to her, "Blair, did you hear-" "yes! I fucking heard it!" She cut Jenn off. "What's gotten into you?" Jenn asked her. "Nothing! Just tired" She replied as she opened her locker that was behind them. Jenn rolled her eyes at her, "have you seen Christine?" Jenn asked her. "She's outside with Ian" Blair replied and Jenn walked off leaving Seth. "Christine's outside, Seth" Blair said to him. "Yeah, I know, I didn't go with her because I wanted to talk to you about last night" he said to her.
"I know, I'm so sorry about getting us caught" she said back. "Oh, no, I don't care about that, I was meaning the fact that you told them off when I was being shamed about the shed. I owe you a thank you" he said to her. "Oh- yeah, anytime...I just didn't like how they were shaming you because of a shed" he opened his mouth about to say something but Blair said something before he could, "and no, I wasn't defending you to just be nice, I defended you because I really did think that the shed looked nice" she said. He looked a bit surprised, "you're not kidding?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Nope. And I also owe you a thank you for taking me there, that shed would be good use for time alone if I'm being honest" Blair said. A smile formed on his lips and he nodded, "yeah" he said. "Blair!" She turned her head and saw Christine with Jennifer and Ian. "Why did you leave me outside?!" Christine asked her. "I'm sorry, I just don't feel well this morning" she replied. "Seriously? It feels like you always don't feel well" Christine said to her. "Yeah, what has been going on?" Jenn asked. "She just said what's going on, she doesn't feel well" Seth defended Blair. "I know that...Blair, are you upset over Mrs. Mullins's death or something?" Christine asked.
"I'm not upset!" She accidentally raised her voice. She shut her eyes and took a deep breath. "I'm just scared. Why do you have to maul me to death with questions?" Blair asked as she slammed her head on her locker. They gave eachother concerned looks and Christine stepped over to her and hugged Blair from behind and the rest of them joined the hug.
In 1st Period
Blair, Christine, and Seth were sitting down and Mr. Shaffle came in. "Morning, everyone. As you may or may not know, Mrs. Mullins's life was taken away yesterday and as in honor of both Brittany Collins, one of our Southerners, and Mrs. Mullins, there will be no school tomorrow and for the rest of the month after tomorrow and instead, a memorial inside school will be held at 9 PM tomorrow. I know that Principal Campbell had promised you all a party for Friday, but this week isn't a party season. So please...give in your time and love for these two. As for today, there will only be 4 periods since curfew will be starting tonight" Mr. Shaffle explained.
Seth, Blair, and Christine looked at eachother worriedly. "There won't be much work this week, Principal Campbell has decided that making it hard on the students will just put more stress and less effort into what's already been done," Mr. Shaffle nodded, "just finish up any missing work for today and please keep the room silent" Mr shaffle finished. Blair layed her head down and Seth just zoned off while Christine scribbled on her desk.
