Everyone clapped as Whitney and Blake made their way back down the aisle, towards the area where the reception would be held. They look so ridiculously happy that it brought tears to my eyes. And several other peoples, including my mom, who was crying quite heavily. I rolled my eyes but couldn’t stop smiling.

We all followed them back into the building and were instructed into our seats at the round tables. Tucker, my mom, and I had our own table, surrounded by several others. Whitney and Blake, along with their parents and Max, sat at a long table at the front of the room.

I sat down and waited for Tucker and my mom to arrive at our table. The room was large, and decorated perfectly, dripping with gorgeous flowers and crystals. Each table had a glass with black and white roses in it, and a pure white plate with a folded black napkin in front.

“Did I ever tell you how beautiful you are?” a familiar voice whispered in my ear. I giggled as tucker sat down next to me.

“I don’t think so.” I teased, and he leaned towards me, a small smile on his lips.

“Well, you look absolutely gorgeous.” He said, kissing my cheek before leaning back in his chair. My mom came and sat down, already talking.

“Wasn’t that just beautiful? Oh Syd, you look amazing! And you didn’t even trhow up or anything! I know how you are with crowds. Did you see Max? How cute! Ah, and the look on Blake’s face when he saw her! It was all so perfect!”

She probably would have gone on, but she was interrupted by a man I guessed to be the DJ speaking into the microphone.

“I introduce you to Mr. and Mrs. Blake Toll!” he cried, and everyone cheered and clapped as Blake and Whitney stood up and waved. Max did too, and everyone laughed.

The best man and Marie gave their speeches, along with Blake giving his. Then the DJ said the words that everyone was waiting for.

“Lets dance!” he said, causing many people to cheer. Many tables emptied as people stood up to go the dance floor. I was not a dancer, and was, in fact, about as graceful as a drunk grizzly bear. I opened my mouth to say something my mom when I heard my name being called.

“Syd! Sydney Baker!” Emily rushed over and wrapped me in a huge hug.

“Oh my gosh you looked amazing! I’m so jealous! Do you think they have mini kieshes here? Oh my god I love this song!” with that, she rushed off, leaving me open mouthed. I hadn’t even gotten a word in. She was often like that when excited.

I once again went to say something when yet another person started calling my name. I heard Tucker chuckle as I turned to see who was calling my name, then grinned. “

Maxxy!” I cried, standing up s the small blonde boy ran towards me. I opened my arms and he jumped into them. I had known Max since the day he was born, and I adored him.

“Sydney, did you see all the foods that I’m gonna ate?” he asked ungrammatically, making me smile as he wrapped his small arms around my neck and I rested him on my hip. He was getting to big for me to cart him around like that, but I loved it.

“Yes I did, and they all look so yummy! Are you going to eat the cake?” I asked, and he nodded enthusiastically.

“Yep, I’m gonna smash my face right into it, like on TV!” he cried happily. I laughed.

“That’s gonna make a mess! And you’ll get your suit dirty! You look so handsome today.” I said, using one hand to ruffling his curly blonde hair. He giggled and pulled away from my hand.

“My daddy bought it for me. We match.” He said, pointing to where Whitney and Blake sat, Blake in his nice suit. He saw his son pointing and smiled and waved at us. I waved back before looking at Max again.
