Winter

I walked into the living room. I saw Alex looking at the pictures on the wall. Mom and Dad were not there. "Alex, where's Mom and Dad?" I asked. He looked at me.

"Oh, there in bed right now. We haven't got much sleep ever since you were," Alex paused. He looked down at Cj who laid so still on the couch. "Gone." I nodded.

"Winter." James whispered. I looked at him. He was sitting on the ground right by Cj. I walked up to her and went to my knees.

"Hi, Cj." I said. Cj opened her eyes and looked at me.

"Who... Who are you?" Cj asked.

"My name is Winter. And I'm going to help you. You need to stay still, okay?" Cj nodded lightly. I did too. "Okay, where's the wound?" I asked James.

"Right here." He pulled down Cj's shirt just a little. There was a big band-aid on it. I nodded and slowly took off the band-aid.

"Okay, stay still." I said. Cj nodded. I put my hand about an inch away from the wound. I felt coldness run from my spine to my shoulder blade. It made its way to my arm, to my palm. Cj grabbed the couch and held on to it tightly. "I know it's cold, Cj, just bare threw it." I closed my eyes and brought my hand closer to the wound.

"You're okay, Cj." James whispered.

"Thirty more seconds." I said. The coldness from my spine was actually starting to hurt. I felt like pinches down my back. I closed my hand and brought it to my side. I opened my eyes and saw Cj starting to sit up. She looked like she was in so much shock. She looked down at her chest as she pulled down her shirt.

The wound was gone.

"What?" Cj asked very confused. She looked at me. "How?" She asked.

"Look, Cj. You got to promise something. You can't tell anyone this, okay? Not a soul." Cj stared at me.

"Are you a witch, or somethin'?" Cj asked. I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm a witch."
