Winter
"Your girlfriend?" I asked. James looked at me.
"Yeah, this is my girlfriend, Zoey." James repeated. He put his arm around Zoey's hip.
"Who's this?" Zoey asked, staring at me.
"Oh, this is my friend Winter and her family." Zoey smiled and nodded. Then she looked at Alex. She checked him out, then smirked. I looked at Alex. He looked at me and shrugged. I smiled slightly.
"Okay, cool. Look, I got to go. I'll see you at school tomorrow." Zoey sighed. James looked at her and smiled.
"Okay, bye babe." They kissed, then Zoey walked away. She walked right by Alex and looked at him on the way. I licked my lips and looked at his little sister. She looked like she was in a lot of pain.
"James." Cj sighed. James looked down.
"Oh, Cj. How are you feelin'?" James asked as he bent down.
"I'm hurtin'." James looked up at me.
"Winter?" James asked. I looked at him, then shook my head as I backed up slowly.
"Oh no. Not again." I said. I walked out of the room to the kitchen.
"Winter!" James yelled. I turned around as he ran up to me.
"James. I can't just go willy-nillie with my magic. I trust you. I don't know your little sister. After this, she could go and tell everyone that a witch healed her. I'm sorry, James." I apologized.
"But she's dyin'. Please, Winter. This one time." James begged. I rolled my eyes and turned my head to the sighed. James grabbed my shoulders and brought me closer to him. I looked into his eyes. "Please." I swallowed hard.
"Fine." I sighed. James smiled.
"Thank you so much." James sighed. He leaned in and kissed me on my cheek. I smiled. He let go of me and walked away. I laughed lightly and walked to the living room.
