Winter

We all walked into the school library. We looked around, it was mostly empty, mostly because it's lunch and everyone wants a break. So we started to walk more in, looking for Mr. Jacobs.

"Who's Mr. Jacobs?" James asked as he sped up to catch up with Alex and I.

"You'll see." I replied. I turned the corner and stopped dead on my tracks. I saw him, sitting there. He had a book open with his head buried in it. I smiled. "Mr. Jacobs." I called out. He looked up and saw me, his jaw dropped instantly.

"Winter? Alex? Is that you?" He asked as he slowly closed his book. I smiled even more.

"Hi Mr. Jacobs." I said horsely, since I was choking up. I was actually about to cry. He got up from his chair and I ran into his arms. I started to cry.

"Shhh, Winter, it's okay. Everything's okay." Mr. Jacobs whispered as he started to let my hair. I nodded.

"They kidnapped me, they hurt me." I sobbed. I felt him nod.

"I know, Winter, I know. But you're safe now, everything's okay." I nodded once more and relaxed. We let go of each others grip. Mr. Jacobs looked at Alex. "Hello Alexander, it's been a while."

"Too long." Alex sighed. They ran for a hug too. I think Alex started to cry, too. I mean, Mr. Jacobs is like a father figure to us. He was the one who took care of us the most. When I was kidnapped, Mr. Jacobs was the one who tried to fight off the government agents while my parents and Alex fled. He tried to save my life. Mr. Jacobs let go of Alex and looked at James.

"Who are you?" He asked with a confused look on his face.

"Mr. Jacobs. We need your help."
