James
I saw a light flash out of nowhere. I looked over and saw the the light shining down on a book laying on a podium closed. I looked at Winter as she walked up to the podium. I walked up behind, but to where I can see what she's doing.
She opened the book and started to flip the pages. I looked at Alex. He was staring down at the book, a little worried. He kept biting his lip, and looking up at Winter at some point.
"Here." She said. She put her face closer to the book and ran her finger on the book, looking for something. "Where is it?" She mumbled to herself. She went to the page on the right an did the same thing, then, she stopped. "Here we go."
She bent down and pulled something out of her boot. I looked down and saw her pull out something long, then I realized, it was a wand. She put the tip on the sentence she stopped at. She slowly lifted it up, a blue strip of light followed it up.
She backed up as the light followed the wand. I stared in amazement. She turned to where her left side was facing me. She started to swirl the wand to where the light became a spiraling circle. She stopped swirling her wand, and put it to her side.
The spiraling circle of blue kept going. Winter put the wand back in her boot. I looked at Alex again. His arms were crossed around his chest, nodding. I looked back at Winter, biting my lip. She looked down at her hands. They started to spark with her cold sparks, until a flame came out of both her hands.
She looked up at the blue circle, then she threw the flame at the circle. The circle for pushed back until it hit the wall. A cloud of smoke came from the wall, and a door sat there, sparkling with grey and blue. I looked at Winter. She looked at me at the same time, smirking.
"Let's go." We walked over to the door. Alex grabbed the handle, about to open it, then, he stopped. He looked at me.
"Look," Alex said, closing his eyes. "In here, there's Witches, and Wizards. They don't like humans, that's why they hang out in here. If anyone asks, your a Wizard. You're a Fire Wizard, like me, understand?" Alex asked. I nodded.
"And don't speak until you're spoken too, please." Winter begged. I nodded again.
"Okay, I won't."
