James

"Hold on Cj, just a little bit longer!" I yelled. We were still in the car. We were about a minute away from the hospital, and Cj was still in pain.

"James.... James...." Cj kept repeating in a painful moaning.

"Just keep breathin'." I demanded. Cj started to breath faster and harder. I finally got to the hospital. I pulled into the drop-off station. I put the car in park and jumped out as fast as I could. I went to the back seat and opened the door. I got Cj out. Her chest was bloody.

I closed the door and started to run into the double doors of the hospital. "Help! Help my little sister! Bring a gurney or somethin'!" I screamed. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at me. A nurse dropped her clipboard and put her hand over her mouth as three doctors came rushing over with a gurney.

"Put her on the gurney!" One of the doctors yelled. I put her on the gurney and the doctors put a oxygen mask on her face. They started to rush her into a room. I stood there in the hallway, staring at the doctors running her into the operation room. I swallowed hard.

My shirt was covered all in Cj's blood. My hands were too. I turned around fast with my jaw tight. Everyone in the hospital was staring at me, jaws dropped and everything. Like I shot Cj, and it's all my fault she's dying.

Maybe it is.

I started to tear up. I closed my mouth and fast walked down the hallway to the bathroom. I felt my phone start to buzz. I took it out of my back pocket and looked to see who was calling.

Dad.

I pressed the answer button and put the phone up to my ear. "Hello?"

"James? Where the hell are you?!" I heard Dad ask in anger.

"At the hospital, where are you?" I asked.

"Almost there. Where's Cj?" Dad asked in much hurry.

"In the operation room." I replied. There was a pause.

"Okay, I'll be there in a couple minutes, you hang tight."
