starry gaze ~ seungmin

i told the moon about you.

it was no unusual day for you, where you were locked up in your room, feeling the exhaustion from work and life inconveniences fill you up till it overflowed.

you were listening to music, while chilling on ur bed, all cozy under the blanket, as the moon shone white streaks through your window on your bed and face.

you felt fatigued and you just wanted to break down.

but it felt like you were all out of tears.

it wasn't an unfamiliar feeling since it follows you everyday, you can say you're used to it. you tell yourself it's okay.

just so when you were in your own little world, you heard a few sounds coming from your window.

it sounded like raindrops going down heavily on the windows creating a very calming but kind of unpleasant sound.
it started to sound kind of annoying since it clearly wasn't rain.

when you went to your window to check it out, you found your bestfriend, seungmin, throwing small rocks at your window, trying to get your attention which he succeeded to.

you immediately looked at him with a "wtf?! are you crazy?" look as he just smiled a bit sneakily, loving the look on your face.
he loves to tease you.

gosh this guy.

you opened the window while silently yelling;

y/n: YAH! kim seungmin! you know there's a door you can knock on?? *i say sarcastically*

seungmin: that's no fun *he says while waving his palm in disagreement*

y/n: what are you doing here this late seungmin??

seungmin: i wanted to see you idiot. now come down y/n! let's go

y/n: are you crazy? *i say laughing* it's literally 1 am seungmin what the hell!! i literally saw you in the afternoon!

seungmin: y/n it'll be worth it now come on stop being stubborn. i'll go up there and kill you *he says trying to act "serious"*

y/n: fineeee *you say rolling your eyes in a cheerful manner, as you close your window, taking your phone and putting it in your pocket while leaving your house, only to meet ur crazy bestfriend at ur door already. but that's why you loved him. he was crazy and so were you*

seungmin: why didn't you just jump out the window? *he says jokingly*

y/n: you really want me to die kim seungmin?!
*you just hit his shoulder playfully and started walking with him to god knows where.* (🤓)

after taking many MANY steps,
and kicking his legs cause
U KNOW he was being sarcastic 🫠
you guys stopped at a big and spacious green field, although it wasn't that clear from the darkness of the night, it was still so beautiful under the moonlight. with fewer flowers scattered here and there but nothing much.

but still the field looked like a dream.

it was your first time going there with seungmin, you weren't surprised about the fact that he knew a place like this, since you know he likes going to areas like these to relax at some times.

the platform was so mentally calming. it was so pleasant.

seungmin took you by the hand and literally DRAGGED YOU to the middle if the scope where landed a small hill as you two lied down on the grass, as the muffled sounds of you guys adjusting blends with the sound of crickets and cicadas that are always heard at night. the noise seemed pretty far away though so that was okay with you.

as you guys settled, gazing at the stars, feeling lost in between each one of them, eyes shifting from a star to another, as some were more shiny than others as the dark background of the sky also took place in your visions.

including the glorious moon. you could see some of its black patches unclearly.
it looked beautiful shining distinctively.

you also needed to be around this guy, so much. he was always a goofy person but get in a deep conversation with him and you're in tears. he's always been there for you and you have been there for him. he has seen you in all your states so did you.

your exhaustion faded the moment you saw him today at your window. even in this moment.

seungmin then broke the comforting silence, eyes looking at the sky still;

seungmin: the moon is beautiful, isn't it? *he says the last two words looking back at you with affection and desperate starry eyes that shone brighter than that moon and those countless stars*

your lips started curving into a small smile as you fixated ur eyes on him;

y/n: mhm. very beautiful.

i told the stars about you.
