More Than Words

Chapter 42

The morning after, Yena has fully recovered and was already making a cup of hot choco on the kitchen, humming a song while doing so. She didn't have a memory of what happened yesterday as she only remembered sleeping and waking up feeling much better.

She was on her way to grab a bowl for her cereal when she heard someone trying to enter her unit, the beeping sound of someone pressing the password echoing. Knowing that its just her cousin, Yena continued what she was doing as she waited for her cousin. True to her expectations, Chaewon entered the unit with her own cup hot choco.

"Good Morning! Feeling better now?", Chaewon greeted the latter as she puts down the cup on the dining table and sat down across Yena. "Mhm... Yeah, I guess", Yena muttered as she scoops up her cereal. Chaewon nods at her cousin, glad that she's better now. "By the way, what's up with the fruits at the fridge? I was surprised when I opened it", Yena questioned pointing at the fridge with her spoon while looking at her cousin.

"Oh we bought it for you but you didn't get to try some yesterday since you basically fell asleep like a log after taking your medicine", Chaewon explained as she took a sip of her hot choco. "Huh... Thanks...", Yena muttered as she nods to herself before raising it to look at the latter with a puzzled look. "Wait- we? Did you bring someone? Minju? Chaeyeon?", Yena asked.

"I brought Yuri with me. Well she presented herself to come along with me since she said that she also needs help with her song", Chaewon answered nonchalantly. Hearing the latter's answer, Yena almost choked at her drink. "Yah! You brought Yuri when you know that I'm out of it when I'm sick?! What is she going to think about me now?" Yena asked rapidly as she started to panic, thinking about how Yuri would probably hate her now. Yena knew that she can be a handful when she's sick.

"You don't remember anything about yesterday?", Chaewon asked, half teasing and half checking. "Yeah... I can't remember anything... Did I do something stupid?", Yena muttered as she tried hard to remember but to no avail. "Yeah, no... You were just like the usual sick Yena... You know, the overly grumpy Yena", Chaewon said with a chuckle, slightly relieved that Yena indeed can't remember anything.

"She was actually the one who bought those fruits for you. She said that its better than to come emptyhanded", Chaewon added, finishing her drink. "Oh, really? I should thank her later", Yena muttered smiling to herself. Chaewon stood up and went to the unit's door, ready to come out but before doing so, she faced her cousin again with a teasing grin on her face.

"Yeah, you probably should... You did give her a hard time yesterday", Chaewon said, loud enough for her cousin to hear before running outside to her own unit.

A few days pass, Yujin and Yena were back after being absent for a while. Although the group makes sure to message the two asking on how they are doing, it is still a different feeling actually having them back.

Also, Yena has been apologizing to Yuri the day she got back to the school. The latter just lets out a chuckle every time and tells Yena that it's alright. Yena also started to work on the younger's song as suggested by her cousin, to which she curtly agrees, treating this as payback for any trouble she might have caused to Yuri.

Although Yuri was thinking of rejecting the older's offer to help, not wanting to be a bother to her, she finally agreed as there's nothing else she can think of as a solution to it.

Yujin has also been recovering from the happenings in her home. She told the unnies about what happened and they're more than happy to listen to her. They've been greatly helpful for her, especially her Eunbi-unnie, helping her at trying to understand her feelings and what to do about them.
