Chapter 23

The second Reena passed the threshold of her house, she was greeted with her aunt's voice. "Reena Tansy, I order you to tell me exactly who just dropped you home!" Nula said jokingly. "Were you on a date? How was it? Did he kiss you? Tell me everything!"

"Yeah, tell us everything!" Cindy squealed as she rushed into her friend's arms.

Reena hugged her, before stepping back to excitedly ask "What are you doing here?"

"Have you forgotten? I am sleeping over tonight! Remember we agreed about this at the annual camping trip."

"Oh yes! I am so sorry I did forget, I was just out shopping when it started raining, and then I went into a restaurant ... anyways it is a long story. But I am so glad you are here!"

"Normally I would be upset, but if that was who I think it was ..." Cindy said pointing towards the front door, "I totally forgive you."

"Well, uhm, yes. That was who you think it is," Reena confessed.

"Wow," Cindy gawked, "You went on a date with Rowan Nightshade Prince of the Earthly Kingdom?"

"What?" Nula asked out of shock. "Reena you know I love you and only want the best for you. But Rowan Nightshade?" She questioned sceptically. "Everyone has heard the rumours about him. He drinks excessively, has been with so many girls, always gets what he wants, and is excessively spoiled. Are you sure that is the type of person you want to surround yourself with? Are you sure you know what you are doing?"

"Honestly, no." Reena confessed. "At first I thought that he was just messing with me, but now I don't know. Like today for example, I was shopping and then it started pouring with rain so I rushed into a restaurant and they said that they were completely full, but Rowan showed up and acted like we were together, so the waiter rushed to prepare this fancy private dining room for us. So we had dinner together, and I actually really enjoyed myself, because we talked, but like actually talked about relevant topics, and then he paid the bill, and walked me home while carrying all of my shopping bags."

"You have no idea how jealous I am of you. I had told you that he was into you, and you didn't believe me," Cindy teased with a grin.

"Yeah, I still have no idea why though. I mean, he's him, and I am me."

"Reena Tansy, don't you dare talk about yourself that way. Of course he would be into you, every guy you know probably is. If anything you are the one who is too good for him." Nula proclaimed.

"You did not tell us if he kissed you though." Cindy pried for more information. "Did he kiss you?"

"No, sorry to disappoint, but he did not kiss me. But I think he might have wanted to?" At Reena's words Cindy squealed with excitement.

"Just be careful okay? I don't want you to get hurt." Nula warned.

Cindy and Reena spent the evening eating sweets and chocolates till their teeth ached and their stomachs were full. While they gossiped about the latest news at school and of course the upcoming Royal Wedding.

Every girl in all three Kingdoms, was dying to know what Princess Zielle Alya's dress would look like, how she would style her hair, what kind of makeup she would opt for.

Every girl was also jealous that all it took for Zielle to end up with a good-looking prince, was for a prophecy about the pair to be made, while they on the other hand, would most likely never get the chance to marry into royalty. Her and Kallik looked so good together, and made such an attractive couple.

That night Reena slept exceptionally well, dreaming about dark hair, green and grey eyes, and very kissable lips.
