This time, the world they have travelled to is a lot different.

They have ended up in something far from civilisation, some stony cave site with the occasional falling stone, making this all a lot more dangerous than their previous missions. The moment they arrived here, San started to sniff around and quickly lead them inside one of the many dimly lit caves. While San seems to be doing just fine, knowing where to go and having his heightened sense of sight to easily guide him through the cave, Wooyoung struggles a lot more. He does not have the same ability and clearly only barely manages to keep up with San, due to him not being able to see him that well either. He can barely make out the shadowy silhouette of his travel partner, his eyes already having adjusted to the bad lighting situation to the best of their abilities.

And even though San does not seem to care at all about literally anything regarding Wooyoung, the latter is at least glad that he does not have to listen to any of his homophobic comments. Within the past few missions they have had, Wooyoung was able to figure out a way to have his time with San be a little more bearable. It is a lot easier than expected to be honest, because all Wooyoung has to do is to avoid speaking to him altogether.

Now, would he prefer to have a different travel partner? Maybe Hongjoong or Yeosang, whom he could be talking to and laughing with while obtaining resources? Yes. Absolutely and one hundred percent, yes. He would trade San for anyone, really. Spending missions in complete silence is honestly just really boring and quite grounding as well, making this entire experience more of a hassle than anything else.

Wooyoung is glad whenever they get back to the base and he can talk to normal people again. For someone who loves to talk and have a good time, being with someone as grumpy and just plain shitty as San, is quite depressing to say the least.

The lack of proper lighting in this cave does not really help this whole thing either.

At some point, Wooyoung bumps his shin against a protruding, rather sharp stone and pained noises and curses leave him immediately, along with a loud cry. He slumps down, dropping onto one knee while holding his other leg and carefully trying to pull up his pants to check out his wound. San's head shoots in his direction the moment he cries out, eyes wide when he just stands there staring at his travel partner, who hisses in pain while carefully peeling up his pant leg.

"What?", he asks, not necessarily in the kind of gentle and concerned tone people would ask someone what has just happened to them after they have just let out a loud fucking cry of pain.

"I walked into some stone and hurt my shin.", Wooyoung says, a slight whimper following his words. San only blinks dumbly at him, clearing his throat after a little while to get back to his senses.

"Oh.", is all he says and Wooyoung just rolls his eyes at that, knowing that is travel partner is just plain useless. He tries to inspect his wound with the lack of proper lighting he has, but all he can really make out is that here is blood and it hurts. Then he hears an annoyed sigh and looks up at San, who starts rummaging through the pockets of his jacket, "Its just a scab, Jung. Get your shit together. Here."

His hand suddenly reaches out towards Wooyoung, holding a rather big bandaid, which Wooyoung only stares at for a solid few seconds before blinking a few times in confusion and taking the item from San's hand.

"Uhm... thanks.", Wooyoung mumbles and the next moment, San is squatting down in front of him, using some bottle he has apparently brought with him, to wordlessly pour its contents on Wooyoung's wound. The younger hisses in pain, looking up right after and seeing the deep frown on San's face from how close he is to him now. So much closer than they were for the entirety of almost any mission up to this point.
