This entire time, Yunho and Mingi have been in frequent contact.

They started off by texting each other within the first week or so after Yunho approached the other, just letting each other know whenever their friend would vanish from any meeting with either friend. They would also text each other whenever Wooyoung or San came back to them and noticed really quickly that there is usually not much time at all between each disappearance and the following reappearances of each of the two males in question.

So with that and Yunho telling Mingi about finding Wooyoung and San somewhere together about a week ago by now, they knew for sure that their previous assumption was right. They now know for sure that the reason why the two of them keep disappearing and reappearing at similar times, forgetting their friends to instead spend time with the one they each hate the most, has most definitely something to do with a strange kind of change between them. A change they desperately want to know the reason and nature behind.

Individually or together, they would look for clues as well. They started off individually, but at some point decided it lead them absolutely nowhere. There is also the thing about not trusting each other in the slightest, which does not make this any easier. One of them could have found something, but simply not tell the other in order to hide something about their own friend.

So very soon into this, they have decided to just meet up for the sake of their joined investigation and do this together from the get go. They would do all sorts of things.

Like they would occasionally follow parts of the ways their friends went before eventually losing them somewhere without a trace and being stuck with each other instead. Then they would sit in cafes a lot, order something to drink, sometimes a piece of cake or two and just talk about everything they could think of that might or might not have anything to do with San and or Wooyoung.

Still they would probably never call themselves anything other than work partners. They would also not really say they are getting closer. No, not at all. After all, neither of them is sharing any deep and personal shit with the other, knowing that they are not and will not ever be friends.

Nevertheless, Mingi has got to admit that he still thinks the man is fucking attractive, just like he did from the first moment on that Yunho approached him. So spending more and more time with him now that San is spending his time with Wooyoung for unknown reasons and Jongho also uses any given opportunity to meet up with someone else, does not bother Mingi in the slightest. Yunho is a feast for the eyes and he would probably never get full, no matter how much he keeps eating and eating.

Yunho simply accepts his fate, only finding out for himself that he finds Mingi's company a lot less exhausting than expected as well.

After his little make up talk with Wooyoung, even after talking again later that day until falling asleep together on Yunho's bed, Wooyoung refused to tell him anything more about San. As in he did not tell him anything other than being unable to tell him, which pissed Yunho off so much that he could only barely hold back after that. After all, he had just made up with Wooyoung and wanted to keep things positive between them. He wanted to see where things go first and if Wooyoung would actually put more effort into their friendship again or just make some empty promises.

He is in fact happy to see though that Wooyoung is indeed making more of an effort, just as he has promised to do. Their mornings are pretty much back to normal and they would also spend their lunch breaks together more. Not always, but more often again.

At some point, Wooyoung has even introduced Yunho to Park Seonghwa and Kang Yeosang, who have both been hanging out with Wooyoung quite a lot apparently while the latter was not with Yunho. Both of them are lovely and nothing but nice to Yunho as well and he does not mind their company at all, really. He should also be happy for Wooyoung to have found such good friends and he knows that he could not be as selfish as he is to want to be the only friend for the younger. But there is a slight bitterness inside of him ever since he has been introduced to the two and they have started to frequently join them for lunch breaks.
