A van was driving through a sandy desert heading to Latona town, while inside the van were two boys, two monsters, and a driver. "Michael, we're back in Latona town! Ah, I've missed the smell." A young boy who was holding a bird monster named Robin giggled. "It's just the smell of sand and dirt, Robin." Michael, his older brother huffed. "It's the first time in three years that the honorable Michael White of Monkart has be home. Come on, smiiile!" Robin put his hands on his older brother's face, forcing a smile on it. "Nobody's welcoming me, Robin, coming back home empty-handed, after such a big loss." Michael frowned."That's not true, you think too much for your own good!" Robin said as Michael turned his head away. "Or maybe you don't think enough." Michael turned over to his brother. As they were speaking, a truck passed them and Leo, Michael's monster took the wheel, speeding up. "Leo, this is not a race, slow down!" The blue-eyed boy demanded.
"It looks so much like Sir Kite's monsword. Could you tell me where you got it, sir?" Sir Jokes asked the owner of the shop. "You can't ask me, because I honestly don't know. We get things from passing merchants all the time." Mr. Jesse crossed his arms. "So you don't care if they're stolen goods or not." The old man mumbled. "Stolen goods?! Are you trying to call me some kind of theif?!" Jin exclaimed. "Then how else would you explain Kite's monsword being here?" Sir Jokes accused.
"Sir Jokes, your being a little harsh." Sena said, looking at him. "Jin, your monsword is a fake. The name of your monsword is dragon's head, it has a lot of replicas, because it belonged to Posca's first king. Look at the flames on the blade, the original had 38 flames. That one only has 37." As Mr. Jesse said that Laura came into the room. "Dinner's ready!" She called. "I feel like he isn't speaking the truth." Czar, also known as Seven mumbled, loud enough for Twilight to hear. "Same here, if he's lying, it must be for a good reason." Twilight nodded to her friend.
Jin and Sir Jokes sighed disappointed, as Laura looked at them curiously. "It's a fake, my monsword's a fake." Jin whined sadly. "After breakfast, please be on your way." Mr. Jesse said. "Of course, Mr. Jesse. Thank you for allowing us to spend the night here." Nightmare voiced. Both Mr. Jesse and his daughter stopped, stunned to see that Draka finished all the food.
"How the fu-" Seven was cut off by Nightmare, who slapped a hand over her mask, stopping her from swearing. "Language, Sev." Twilight snapped at her colleague. "Sorry, but really, how did Draka finish that?!" She whisper yelled. "You and Roselio could finish that if we starved you for a day." Nightmare laughed quietly. "Well he wasn't starved for a day!" Seven snapped at her workmates as Draka rubbed his stomach.
"Draka's asking where's the desert." Sena translated, as Seven began trying her best to stifle her laugh. When Draka burned Jin, it wasn't just Seven wasn't the only one holding in laughter, but Twilight as well. They were all sent out to walk, while the two began to bicker once again. "What a morning, all thanks to you, Draka." Jin huffed, looking at his monster. "Draka says: my thoughts exactly." Sena translated.
"Excuse me miss." Laura came up behind the quintet, who looked around the area. "No need for miss, you can call me Sena." The platinum blonde insisted. "Alright then, Sena. How do you know what monsters are saying?" The periwinkle-eyed girl asked. "Sena comes from a family of nobles, and she was taught how to understand monsters." Nightmare informed, voice cold as stone. "I was also going to ask, why do you have Nightmare, Twilight and Eleven with you at all times?" She asked again.
"Pfft. Hey there Eleven." Twilight mocked her friend. "I must say, my name is Seven, not Eleven." Seven muttered, annoyed. "Oh, sorry." Laura laughed sheepishly. "Hey! It's Jin, is it true you beat up Mark in a race yesterday?" A young boy asked. "Huh? Oh yeah! We did beat Mark yesterday." Jin smiled chokily.
