The Thirteenth

"Apologies ma'am, it won't take long." Soldier said and hands Isabelle a cup filled halfway with tea. She took it from him, nodding. "Don't worry there's no rush." The blonde woman said, looking down at her steaming beverage.

"Pardon?" The soldier questioned.

FLASHBACK TO REFLOWER TOWN...

Isabelle and her soldiers chased the princess, only stopping when large roots from the gigantic tree blocked their way.

"What is all this!? Get rid of them all! We must go after the princess!" The captain ordered, the knights following her obeying her command and taking their blades out. They were about to start harming the roots when they were blocked.

"Stop it! These are the sacred roots of Yggdrasill! If you'll hurt them you'll regret it!" A young female with red hair exclaimed, attempting to block them from hurting the tree.

"You think I'm a fool?" Isabelle snapped. She was going to get the princess, no matter what.

"Don't do it!" Beth warned the group.

I didn't listen and cut off the roots, but they grew back

"We're royal guards carrying out Lord Destro's orders, we will not allow you to interfere, whether you're secret or not!" The woman shouted, slashing the roots with her blade.

"Stand back!" Yggdrasill ordered.

Light surrounded the female who covered her eyes to adjust to the light.

"Yggdrasill?" Beth gaped at the plant.

"What?" Isabelle gasped, staring at the large tree.

"Listen, they are the one's who will bring hope to this world you must not stop them." Yggdrasill said

"What are you saying, that there will be no hope under Lord Destro's guidance?!" The captain growled.

"Find the story of the founding of Carmon Kingdom, it will enlighten you with the truth." Yggdrasill sighed, her and the light fading away.

Isabelle's eyes widened as she reached out her hand with a yell. "Wait!"

ENDING FLASHBACK...

"Yggdrasill the secret tree and Ruth the secret monster, I don't know what to believe anymore, I need more time to find the answer." She muttered under her breath, looking up to the sky where a star fell, a streak of light in the midnight blue.

BACK IN GHOSTIA TOWN...

"A magic spell?" Laura asked, looking around Nikkel's lab.

"Mhm, my dream was to become a sorcerer, I wanted to get rid of the fog using sorcerery and make the town lively again, in the past." The silver haired male explained, showing them around the hidden place.

"So that's what all this equipment was for." The blonde hummed, nodding.

"But, if your dream was to become a sorcerer, then why you no more?" Ellie asked Nikkel.

Sighing sadly, the male explained his tale. "My dad wants me to inherit his hotel instead, I wanted to study sorcerery in college, but he told me to give up because I wasn't cut out for it." While he spoke, Laura's face fell.

"That's harsh." She said sadly.

"You won't know, if you're cut out for it, unless you go give it a try." Ellie tried to convince him to pursue his dream.

"It's just this hotel is everything to him, if he finds out about my experiments, he'd be so angry," Nikkel told them, continuing. "so please could you keep everything You saw today your secret for me?" He pleaded, looking at the girls.
