The Eighteenth

Dark clouds rose above the large area, the stench of the seed of Auobyss filling the air. Dante raced after Draka and cackled, violet lightning striking the red monster. Luckily, this didn't affect Draka who continued racing.

"Dante's strength is out of control! Everyone, take cover!" Jin yelled to his friends. "What about you, Jin?!" Laura yelled back. "I'll stay here and take him down." He answered, gaze set on what was going on in the circuit.

"Taking on such dangers, to save everyone, you're very admirable Jin Hayst," Louis muttered under his breath. "Don't compliment him right now, Louis. He'll get himself killed if he hears you." Seven said, dragging him by the collar of his coat and running out with everyone else.

Back at the circuit, Draka shot fireballs at Dante only to miss. The latter laughed, mocking the flightless dragon. "Nobody's gettin' away from me!"

"Bitdroid trasform!" Jin shouted as he made a circle with his monsword. Dante laughed and activated the same portal to the Fog maze.

"What is that!?" He asked, eyes widening as he saw the portal. Draka tried to dodge the portal only for his Bitroid to be sucked in. "No!" He yelled, reaching out for his monster. "It's no news, you'll all be trapped inside the fog maze!" Dante exclaimed with a sinister smirk. He didn't hesitate to place a portal before Veid as well.

"Dante, what are you doing?! Are you trying to suck me in too?!" Veid yelled out to his monster. "That sounds like a fun idea!" Dante cackled, confusing his racer. "W-What are you talking about?!" He stammered, stepping back.

"He's rampaging!" Jin hollered at the pale teenager. "What do you mean?!" Veid questioned, eyes wide. "That's what happens when a monster is under the power of Auobyss! He's self-destructing!" The redhead told him.

"Don't be ridiculous! Dante has never done anything like that!" He shouted back.

"I'm telling you, it's true! I've seen it happen to the monsters before!" Jin said to him.

"What!?" Veid yelled, surprised. "Stop it before it's too late, we still have time!" Jin told him, gripping his monsword. "Jin! Get out of there!" Nightmare yelled from the entrance, Snowy perched on her shoulder.

"Stop it, Dante!" The emo teenager called out to his monster. "Draka!" Jin exclaimed before getting sucked into the portal, watching Dante smash his opponent against the wall.

"This race is over, you can stop using your power now!" Veid told him, worried about his partner. "Shut up!" Dante snapped at his racer, sucking him into the fog maze.

Nightmare and Snowy got sucked in as well, unable to get out in time. "Now it's time for you to join them." Dante chuckled sinisterly, opening a portal before him. Unfortunately, Draka wasn't fast enough to escape.

"They've all disappeared," Laura said, looking around. "Jin..." Sena's voice trailed off as she was genuinely concerned about him. "Don't be worried, that guy can survive as long as he's got food." Twilight shrugged, Angel nodding in agreement. "Plus, his dumb brain will carry him through it. Who I'm concerned about is Nightmare." Seven sighed, looking back at the circuit. "It's fine, not like she'd try and kill Jin right now. She has her sense of self-control." The taller of the two shrugged her shoulders.

"Draka, where are you?!" Jin shouted, trying to find his monster in the gloomy fog. "Draka!" He yelled again, worried about his friend. He looked up to see Dante's image in the sky, screaming as he fell to the ground. "I'll show you the epitome of despair! Megadroid, transform!" The black monster's image exclaimed loudly.

"Off you go to the underworld!" He cackled, attacking Jin. "It's against the rules to attack a person during a monkart race!" Nightmare yelled, holding onto her cracking mask. Seems like the power of Auobyss was affecting it. "Here, I play by my own rules!" Dante told her loudly, striking her.
