Cain hadn't let my side go, ever since we got up to the room. He hadn't spoken a word about the stuff Mia put him through, or that she took advantage of him. I wasn't going to pressure him, especially if he wasn't ready to talk about it yet.
He let me clean his wounds on his back, and wrap them up before he requested cuddles from me. I was more than happy to cuddle with him. Multiple hours had gone by, us spooning and him smelling my hair now and then;
"I'm sorry I hurt you," he finally whispered after dead silence. I arched my eyebrows and turned to look into his emerald eyes.
"What?" I asked confused.
"I shot you, Violette. I hurt you, again even a"er I swore never to hurt you," he said before so"ly closing his eyes hugging me tighter. "I don't deserve you, baby I'm so sorry I even dragged you into this shit," he mumbled against my forehead.
I sighed as I got up leaning against the headboard. Cain cocked an eyebrow as he looked at me, pain evident in his eyes. "I wasn't going to say anything, but Cain what did Mia do to you?" I watched him tense just by the mention of her name.
It broke my heart seeing Cain Garcia almost get scared hearing her name. He cleared his throat, his breath hitching multiple times but no words seemed to leave his lips. "Cain it's okay you don't have to tell me-"
"She tortured me. Day in, day out. She wanted me to suffer because I loved you, she wanted me to suffer and drown in agony because I chose you. Because it's you and it'll always be you," he said cutting me off.
Suddenly I felt like absolute shit.
"She would whip me, with a belt, a whip, sometimes a rattan. It was horrible Violette. She would make me bleed, then pour ice-cold water down my back before whipping me again. She could cut my arms, and sew it back together just to cut it back open. And then..." he stopped and took a deep breath.
"Before you came to save me she uh- she took advantage of me," he continued his voice cracking. I felt my eyes brim with tears as I saw how hard it was for him to talk about it. "But," he started again which caused me to frown. "It wasn't my first time getting raped."
"What?" I asked my voice soft as I looked down at his fingers which were fumbling with each other.
"When I was nine my mom sent me to this couple... The woman was my piano teacher. She had a husband too, and they had a sweet little son. He had these beautiful blue eyes, and his hair was a blonde-white color. I never saw him so much, but when I did we would always play a little before his father came in and took him down to the basement. I never
saw him the same night, only the morning after," he said.
"Cain I'm so sorry," I said as I grabbed his hand intertwining our fingers.
"The woman... She was like a mother to me. Always cradling me and cooing me whenever I was sad. Then one day she took me to her husband and she had sex with him in front of me. I was a little kid back then, I had no idea what the hell she was doing." I could hear sniffles and I crawled over to him hugging him.
"She sucked me o!, and raped me, before letting her husband do the same to me. I was heartbroken, scared, and sore. When I saw their son the next morning he walked funny. Almost like I did and that's when I realized that I wasn't the only one getting raped in that house," he whispered the last part and I looked into his eyes, cupping his cheeks.
"That's why I got so mad when I saw Matt in the classroom all those years ago and my cousin at the ball. Every woman should feel safe, and I would've done it to everyone but seeing you, Violette. I couldn't let you go through the same pain," he said looking into my eyes.
