Nikolas and Axel helped me up to my room and promised they would come to me when they had more information about Cain's rescue. My stomach clenched every time I remembered his screams and cries for help.

I couldn't even think about all the things Mia was doing to him right now. I knew Cain was strong but to a length. Knowing Cain he won't say anything or break for now meaning we have time before she gets tired of him not talking, and kills him.

My head was throbbing, the same for my gunshot wound. Axel had helped me clean it when we got here before he walked away with Nikolas. I was in my own world when a knock occurred on my door. It was Axel.

I smiled, as he walked in. He closed the door behind him, and sat in front of my bed, in the desk chair. "So what we've found out is that Mia and your mother are not working together. The ambush was just a good reason and opportunity for the Italian mafia to kidnap Cain," Axel said, and my eyes slightly widened.

"We've found out where she's keeping him captive as well." I looked at him, hoping to fluster in my heart. "The Italian cartel in Italy. She's getting help from her father," he said and suddenly all the hope drained from me again.

"How did you find this out?" I asked, surprised. We got home from the hospital two hours ago.

"We have a mole who's close friends with Giancarlo. He reported back to us when he heard it was Cain they had kidnapped." I nodded my head and sighed feeling like a numb person. I was helpless and I hated it.

Suddenly an idea popped into my head. I knew Nikolas wouldn't approve, but I couldn't care less right now. "Axel, teach me how to fight." I looked as he squeezed a laugh out, rubbing the back of his head.

I frowned at him, and his laughter cut short. "Oh shit, you're serious?" My

frown grew, and I rolled my eyes at him. Douchebag.

"Yes, I am. I'm so tired of being helpless."

"You're not helpless. As long as you give Don a piece of you, all of us survive from his daily screams," Axel teased, and I blushed as I thought back to the night before the ball. Axel either heard us, or Cain smeared it out in Axel's face.

Either way was embarrassing. "I'm serious! Teach me how to use a gun or something. If we ever go to save Cain, which we will, I want to be helpful. Please," I begged and Axel looked at me, a grimace on his face.

"Nikolas and Cain will kill me if they find out I ruined the sweet innocent, Violette."

"I'm not that innocent, you know?"

"Oh, I know," he smirked, and I blushed again. Me and my big mouth. Sometimes I wish you could go back in time and save yourself from embarrassment. I would've gone back to the day my mother decided to push me out of her.

"Very well then. If they get mad at me, I'll say you forced me to," he winked and I squealed getting up from the bed. I totally forgot the pain I was in, and Axel was quick to come to stand by my side helping me down the stairs.

I didn't know exactly where we were going. He walked through the kitchen, and veered us into a dark hallway I've never seen. This mansion is like a maze, and even if I lived here my entire life I wouldn't have enough time to explore all the rooms.

We stopped in front of a sensor. Axel let go of me and helped me stand on my own before he walked over to it. The sensor scanned his face, the screen flashing green light. The door's opened, and Axel helped me walk again.

The floors were metal, and so were the walls. White LEDS were shining down at us, as our shoes touching the floor, sent a loud echo out in the hallway. We walked over to another sensor, and this time it was his finger.
