Chapter 9

Kai's POV
I still can't understand how when Bonnie and Damon escaped from this hell, Izabella suddenly lost her vampire abilities. Was she really lying to me, or did she really don't know what happened and why she list them. I kept thinking about that till we arrived.

Izabella's POV
We arrived at Kai's old home. It was white outside. It looked normal.
"I have something special for you. According to my running tally, I've been here for 6771 supernaturally repeating days. So in the real world, which we aren't going there soon...or never, but today is my favorite day of the year." He said
"And what day is it?" I asked
"Thanksgiving, and I'm cooking you dinner with whatever leftovers are in the house from 1994." Kai said opening the front door for me
"Mi casa es tu casa." He said
His hallway was full of family portraits and a lot of blood on the floor and the walls. On the portrait were at least 7 kids, Kai's siblings. Looking at the portraits I assume Kai was the oldest along with a girl with similar features as his. She looked familiar, I don't know why.
"Hey Kai, um, who is this girl?" I asked Kai
"That's my twin sister, Jo. That's the girl I told you about, I cut off her spleen. Um anyway we are going to spend the night here. I know you wouldn't want to sleep here because of the blood everywhere, but I will give you my room, it doesn't have any blood there and I'm going to sleep elsewhere." He said
"Um, thank you, Kai. I really appreciate it." I said smiling

I went to his room to put my baggage there. The room was simple, like a teenager room from the 90s. The walls were baby blue colour and on them were posters of different bands, such as ACDC and Nirvana. He had a bookshelf. I looked more closely, and the bookshelf on this shelf were mostly horror: American Phyco, IT and the shining. They weren't put in order by author. I kept looking around and saw a box. I picked it up and put it on his bed. When I opened it, I saw a stack of playboy magazines. Just then Kai walked in
"Oh I see you found my magazines. You can keep them. I got bored with them." He said. I jumped, I didn't know he was there
"Don't ever sneak up on me like that." I said, holding my chest
"Don't ever go through my stuff." He said getting closer to me, and closer until we were inches apart from each other.
"Oh, and dinner is ready." He said now walking out of the room
I let out a shaky breath, I didn't realize I was holding.

I went downstairs and sat down on the dining table opposite of him. The dinner was pasta. We finished eating it and went to our separate ways.
I wrote in my diary about everything that happened today. Kai still confuses me. Kai's words were stuck in my head. 'So in the real world, which we aren't going there soon...or never....'. What if we never go back to the real world. I would spend an eternity together with him. He could kill me in my sleep, or I could kill myself. I don't want to die. But my friends are coming for me, my brothers were coming for me, I'm sure. But if Damon and Bonnie told them about Kai, and that they aren't going to help me escape, because that means Kai is going to escape and they don't want a sociopath on a loose to deal with. I kept thinking about it and fell asleep....

I was at my mother's funeral back in 1858. After that I went to my room, just to see her there, standing, alive and well. She tried to go near me, but I pulled away.
"No, no. You aren't real. Go away. G-go. This is just a dream." I repeated for myself.
"Listen, Izzy, please. I just wanted to see you. I'm not dead. I'm okay. Please you have to listen to me, daughter." She said approaching me and hugging me. I broke down in her arms.
"I-I thought I lost you mum." I said though sobs.
"No, no you don't. But now I have to do something." She said half smiling
"You have to forget I was ever there. I'm dead and it was all just a dream." She said...

I woke up sweating a trembling from the dream. I didn't get this dream very much, I only dream about me learning that she was dead. The feeling. The anxiety, everything about that. Kai walked to my room.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, not in a mood for anything
"I heard a scream and thought it was you, so I came to check." He said
"Well, I'm okay, don't you see." I said trying to look okay
"No, you don't look okay. Is it one of your dreams? You can tell me." He said quitely
"It was the dream where my mum was talking to me after her funeral. I know this is just a dream, but it felt so real. I don't know." I said, looking at the floor
"It's okay. It happened years ago. You are okay." He said softly
"She used to call me Izzy."
"What?" Kai asked confused
"She was the only one that called me Izzy, after her dead no one called me that, that's why I didn't want you to call me by that nickname." I said
"I'm okay now. You can go." I said
"Okay, you sure?" He asked
"Yes." I said and he walked out of the room. I went back to a dreamless sleep...

"Wakee uppp. It's Thanksgivingggg." Kai sang waking me up. Opening the curtains in my room.
"What's the time." I asked hiding my eyes under the blanket from the sun
"Twelve noon." He said trying to pull me to stand up
"And what are we going to do before dinner?" I question
"I don't know, maybe watch a movie." He suggested
"Okay." I said shrugging

We watched Baywatch, he insisted because it was his favorite show. After that he made us dinner. Roasted chicken amd a salad. I'm not gonna lie he is a good cook but I'll never admit it to his face.
"You know I like Thanksgiving, even if I didn't get along with my family, and this is a family holiday." He said his face dropping
"You could tell me about them if you want." I said curious
"They were horrible, you know, because of my ability of a siphoner. My dad didn't even allow me to play with my younger siblings, because I was gonna siphon their magic. And in my coven when the firstborn twins turned 22 they had to do a ritual, the merge where the stronger twins practicly absorbs the magic of the weaker and the weaker dies. The stronger will become the head of the Coven. So when I did that to my siblings we had to do the merge the other day on the day of the eclipse, but the Coven instead to use the eclipse for the merge they used it to send me here." He said all that while staring at the wall
"Oh, I'm sorry Kai." I said sympathetically trying to touch his arm but he removed it
"Anyways, that was that, come with me I want to show you something." He said standing up from his seat

We went to the backyard to a tree stump
"So, like I told Josette didn't have magic during the merging, it's like she didn't have magic, I didn't feel the magic. So I figured she should have hid it somewhere, for example here." He said pulling out a knife from the tree stump.
"My dear sister, she thought she hid it well in the knife that I stabbed her with. Oh God." He said laughing maniacally
"You know when I realized where it was hidden, what I thought?" He asked
"About the same situation but with you." He said walking closer to me
"It's not possible one minute for you to have you vampire abilities and the next to not, so you have to hide it somewhere safe so when we are alone, I couldn't siphon your magic, of course you can't do that yourself because you don't have magic, so it must have been Bon Bon. She did it so I could not escape, ever... So that leaves me on the question..." He said walking even closer to me I tried to step back, but he grabbed my wrist tightly
"What am I gonna do with you? I could not kill you, of course that would be too easy and boring, so I'm gonna torture you. You'll regret it Izzy." He said pressing me against the wall. He pressed his mouth near my ear
"Goodnight, Iz." He whispered before I realized what he meant, everything went black
