Chapter 17

Izabella's POV
Me, Damon, and Kai were at the Salvatore crypt because Kai was claiming that our mother was alive and well in one of the prison worlds, more particularly the 1903 one. Bonnie and Elena were looking for Caroline because she turned her humanity off and ran off.
"Hey, do you need help? Before you answer that, I'd rather not, but Izzy would." Kai suggested me helping Damon digging up mother's grave
"I'd rather too not. It will be too traumatizing seeing mother's corpse." I said
"I just keep experiencing these pangs of guilt watching you. Feelings are hard. Digging up Mommy's grave. That's dark even for me. And she is alive." Kai said to me and Damon
"So is the end of this crowbar." Damon said
"And mother's died of consumption in 1858." I said to Kai
"Just let me help you." I said and grabbed the crowbar from Damon's hand. While I was removing the nails Kai kept talking
"I know you called me in here because you needed a friend." Kai said referring to Damon
"No, I called Iza, and you came with her, and now I feel like a third wheel around you two." Damon said annoyed
"But still you didn't kill me,because of it. Look how good brother in laws we could be together. Me, you and Steven." Kai said patting Damon on the back
"Stefan." I corrected him
"Little sis, I know you are trying to be helpful, but no way in the world you would do this-" He widened his eyes as I removed the nails faster than him
"Anyways, they were just few left." Damon said
"Yeah, I'm sure you'll get over it." I said trying to open mother's coming only to be met with nothing in it
"Congratulations, everything you know about your mum is wrong."
We went back to the Salvatore mansion.

Damon talked to Stefan on the phone about Caroline and for us to see if anybody missing in Mystic Falls.
"Why didn't you tell Stefan about mother being still alive? I know you want to protect him, but he deserves to know. " I asked him Kai went to pour bourbon in his glass and sat on the couch
"Maybe because she is kept in this prison world because she is probably an evil vampire phycopath." Damon said sarcasticly
"Don't wanna ruin little bro's perfect mommy memory." Kai said
"You probably can send me back to 1903." Damon said to Kai
"Us. She is my mother too." I corrected Damon
"Technically, yes. I am able to do that. But I'll need the ascendant for the 1903 prison world." Kai informed us
"As the newly elected president of the Gemini freaks, I assume you know where to get it. So get it." Damon said
"It's my pleasure. I'll be very excited to see my future mother in law." Kai said sarcasticly, and I punched him in the arm
"Ouch." He said
"I'm doubting she's there." I said
"Well, I was looking at some Gemini Coven's stuff, and in one of the books, which were talking about the prison worlds and the names of the people there I found the name Lillian Salvatore and even tho I didn't know your mother's name. Her last name was Salvatore, so I assumed she was related to you." Kai explained to me
"Yes, I know this you already told me earlier." I said annoyed at him
"I think I'm gonna go upstairs and rest. Everything is just too much today."

I went upstairs and just laid on my bed looking at the ceiling thinking about my last memory of mother. I heard someone came into the room, and I immediately guessed who it was.
"What do you want, Kai?" I said
"Just wanted to see if you are okay." He said
"I'm....fine." I said. He laid next to me on my bed and motioned for me to lay on his chest. I did it, and he started to play with my hair.
"I'm really confused what are we. We agreed for us to be just fuckingnothing more." I said out of nowhere
"I know, and that's true."
"I was raised in hatred, Izzy. I could never be your lover, only your killer." He said softly
"I'm gonna go help Stefan with Caroline." I said and stood up to grab my jacket
"Wait, Iz, what is wrong, seriously." Kai asked
"Nothing, I'm just gonna help Stefan, that's all." I explained grabbing my jacket and walking out.

I called Stefan to see where he is so I could go to him. He told me and I went to some university party. There, I started to look for Stefan, but it was too dark to find him. I felt someone groping my ass. I turned around to see some guy smirking at me.
"Damn girl, you are hot." This guy said, I glared at him. He then grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to him. I grabbed his arm and twisted it, making him shout like a little girl.
"Next time you do this. I'm gonna break your arm in half." I whispered in his ear and then let him go. He ran out of the building. I walked up to the bar to see Stefan there sitting alone.
"What happened? Where is Caroline?" I asked him
"She's still in there. I'm her emotional trigger, but she got pissed at me and walked away. I'm afraid she's going to kill someone." Stefan informed me
"I'm gonna go look for Bonnie and Elena." He said and walked away

"One Martini, please." I said to the barenter across from me. I felt someone sitting next to me when I turned around. I saw Kai.
"Iz, I-" I cut him off
"Were you following me?" I asked him
"No, uhh, me and Damon came here together." Kai said and Damon came out of nowhere
"For the record, I didn't want him to come with me. He insisted." Damon said shrugging.
"Doesn't matter." I said grabbing my drink walking somewhere else. I called Stefan.
"Hey, Stef. Where are you?" I asked him
"I'm at the bar next to the party. Come here. I need to tell you something important." He said
"Okay." I said and hung up

I walked up to the bar to see Stefan drinking margarita.
"What is so important you have to tell me here and not at the party? Did you find Caroline?" I asked him. He just smirked at me.
"I wasn't sure if you'd come or you were too busy fucking Kai. But here we are." Stefan said
"Oh my God! You shut it off." I said, and he just shrugged
"Hey, remember when you had a thing for Liam?" He asked and I looked confused at him
"Well, right now he is with Caroline. You see, big sister, Caroline and I need for you to switch the flip. She wanted to because she thinks you are my emotional trigger blah, blah, blah, you know Caroline." He said grinning
"What is she gonna do to him?" I question
"She insisted on showing him her surgical skill....on him." He explained
His phone started to ring.
"There she is." He said smiling evily
"Caroline, please explain to Iza what are you gonna do to Liam." Stefan said
"I'm planning on more than one thing. Cutting his spleen, then his heart." She explained from the prher side of the line.
"But first, Liam say hi." I heard Caroline giggled
"Please help! Help!" He shouted
I just stayed in one place, not moving, not knowing what to do or how to react.
"Uh, oh, we broke her." Stefan said on the phone taking a sip from his margarita. Liam continued to shout from the other side of the phone.
"Okay, okay. Just let him go." I said

I shut my eyes and flipped my switch. All the pain went away. I didn't feel anything.
"Pass me the margarita, please." I said and he handed me a margarita. I took a sip.
"Did Caroline make it?" I asked Stefan, in which he nodded
"She really has a talent for making these." I said and took another sip
