Chapter 18

Izabella's POV
Me and Caroline were washing and tidying the bar. When Enzo walked in.
"I hard-knock life, is it?" He asked sarcasticly with a thick british accent
"Don't walk there. I just washed that." Care said angrily and continued to mop the floor
"My apologies, Cinderella, and what are you doing here, Iz? Are you her mouse assistance?" He asked, joking. I just glared at him.
"Whta are you doing?"
"Me, her and Stefan had a moment. Things broke in the process. And now I'm returning the scull bar to the way we found it." Care explained
"The point of flipping your humanity switch is you don't care how you eave things." Enzo said
"I told her the same thing." I said to him
"I go to school here, Enzo. I want to keep going to school here. The second that I draw any suspicious break-ins, broken property, and dead bodies, people will try to interrupt my routine . Then, I will end up rotting in a cell somewhere instead of what I should be doing, which is preparing for my audition tomorrow." Caroline shared
"Well, I'm just here for emotional support." I explained shortly, shrugging
"Caroline Forbes, vampire without humanity auditioning for a school play." Enzo said
"Musical. And obviously, duh. I'm in a drama major." Caroline corrected
"And what are you doing here?" I asked him
"Find my phone led me here. It didn't explain why your sticky fingers needed it last night."
"Cause you are the only one with Sarah Salvatore number." Care explained simply
"Why would you need it?" Enzo asked, confused
"To use her life as leverage to convince Stefan to shut his humanity off too." Caroline told him
"That's both clever and deeply unsetting. Tell me she's alive." Enzo said
"She's alive. Assuming she survived any infections resulting from Liam's amateur surgery." Caroline said to him
"Yall are boring. I'm gonna see what Stefan is doing. I said and left.
"Me too. I have an audition, after all."
Caroline said and left too

I entered the Salvatore mansion only to find Damon drinking on the couch.
"Oh, hey." I said
"And where the hell were you?" Damon asked, confused
"You know doing stuff." I said, not paying him any attention taking a bottle with bourbon
"Oh my gosh, you flipped it too. Didn't you?" He said
"Obviously." I said rolling my eyes in an obvious manner.
"Now, if you excuse me, I have shit to do." I said and walked out calling Stefan. He answered.
"Where are you? You told me you were going to be at the mansion." I asked Stefan angrily
"Wow, relax. I'm at Caroline's performance." He explained
"Ok, I'm coming." I said and hung up the phone

I walked into the classroom only to see a beheaded man sitting on one of the chairs.
"Wow, what happened here?" I asked Caroline referring to the dead man
"Guess." She said angrily
"Did you do this? Because you have blood on your face." I said
"No, Stefan did this. Now help me hide the body." She comanded
"Yes, sir." I joked

I went back to the apartment I rented since I don't want Damon around bugging me about how I should turn it on. When I entered my bedroom, I found Kai sleeping in my bed.
"What are you doing here?" I asked angrily through gritted teeth
"Finaly, you came. I started to think this wasn't your apartment." He explained
"Don't try anything. I'm warning you I'm not gonna turn it on only because of you." I said
"Good overthinking Izzy, you are still the same even with humanity off. Don't worry, I'm not gonna try anything.
"Good, now get the fuck out." I commanded. He got up from the bed. We were inches away from each other.
"Are you sure you want me to leave?" He asked, his hot breath hitting my face. Before I could say anything, he grabbed my waist, pulling me closer to him and kissing me...
