Chapter 13

Izabella's POV
I was woken up by Damon shaking me.
"Good, he didn't strangle you in your sleep."Damon said getting up
"Wha-"I was cut off by Damon
"You have to babysit Kai." He told me simply
"Why me? Why can't Caroline do it, or Stefan or you or Bonnie?" I asked
"Caroline's mum has a tumor, Caroline is with her, Stefan is helping Caroline and I am going to the hospital because they called me. And if he wakes up and sees me, he is more likely to attack me than you. You haven't stepped on his bad side yet." Damon explained
"Wait, really? How's Caroline doing?" I asked worried
"She's good for now."He said
"If he starts twitching, give him 50 milligrams of pentobarbital or something like that. Bye." He said walking out of the door.

I walked up to the couch and started to practice my magic just to be sure it's working. I don't have anything to do besides that. Maybe I could read one of Ric's books. I walked up to his office and started to explore it. Usually, he doesn't let me explore his office because he's scared that I could break something important, but this time he isn't here, so this is my chance.

While I was looking at Ric's things. I heard someone walking in here, I thought it was Kai, so I walked out of the office to see who it was. I saw Tyler trying to wake Kai up. I vamp sped toward him and pinned him against the wall, holding his collar.
"What the hell are you doing?" I asked him
"Liv's dad is in town. She's trying to convince him to let Jo and Kai do the merge." Tyler said. I let go of him
"So you just thought you'd grab Kai as a failsafe, in case their father says no. You just turn Kai loose, and he merges with Jo anyway. I'm not gonna let you walk out with him." I said in an obvious tone. Damon walked in.
"Little sis, I just got this incredible idea-" He stopped when he saw Tyler
"What is he doing here?" Damon asked
"Aparetly, he wanted Kai to do the merge with Jo now." I said, Damon walked up to us and put Kai's injection in Tyler's neck knocking him out.
"What are you doing?Now Kai is gonna wake up!"I said to Damon
"That's part of the plan." He said

Damon was talking with Liv and her father from Tyler's phone
"Hello sir, Damon Salvatore here. We had a Thanksgiving together."Damon said. I looked at him weirdly. He just gave me a 'I'll tell you later' look.
"I've been sitting Googling celestial events happening today. And I was just curious, would a Mercury-Venus conjuction give you enough jouce to do a little Gemini merge party?"Damon asked.
"Why?"
"I'm gonna take that answer as a yes. So here's the situation I'm gonna need you to use the planet party to merge your set of blond twins ASAP. Because unfortunately, your foerly comatose son is gonna be on the loose and hell-bent on beating you to the punch." Damon said and hung up.
"Why do you need all that stuff?" I asked Damln curious
"Part of the plan." Damon said simply

Just then, Kai woke up
"Rise and shine ypu little weasel." Damon said as Kai tried to do a spell on Damon but didn't work.
"Trying to pop a blood vessel on my brain? Sorry, not gonna work. Looks like all that magic you sucked up drained away while you were asleep. Good for us. But don't worry, I know where you can get more." Damon assured him
"You think I'm gonna trust you two?" Kai asked looking at me
"No, and we are not gonna trust you. I need a magic siphon and you can help me." Damon
"Damon, you know I can siphon magic too." I said to him
"Yeah, but we needed to get rid of that Lockwood dude, and now because of that little phyco freak is awake. So why don't we benefit from him." Said Damon, totally ignoring Kai
"Hello, I'm here." Kai said waving at Damon
"Unfortunately."Said Damon, grinning at him
"Let's go." Damon explained his plan to me. Apparently, he wants Kai to siphon from Liz.
"I'm gonna go home. Call me when everything is done." I said and walked home

Elena's POV
"All right. I need a 12 gauge needle, stat. Don't know what I'm gonna do with it, but I need it." Kai said walking up to Liz
"You're not a doctor, so stop playing games. I'm a vampire, and I will rip your head off if you screw this up." I threatened
"What she said, so do your stupid little magic-suctiob trick and suck the magic out of her. Right now."Damon commanded
"I get what you two see in each other. It's very dis-fun-ctional. See what I did? Stressing the 'fun' in 'dysfunctional'." Kai laughed at his own joke. I rolled my eyes at him
"Just get on with it, Kai. Listening to you talks makes me wanna die." Liz sassed
