Chapter 3

Izabella's POV
This morning was terrible like always. I got this nightmare and when I went downstairs I saw Kai and Bonnie trying to do a locater spell and outside was Damon throwing paper airplanes. I went to him
Goodmorning sleepy head it's afternoon already, you missed breakfast." Said Damon
"Oh, I didn't notice." I said still sleepy
"Did the nightmares stop." He asked concerd
"No and I'm sure that you kept asking me the same thing for at least 100 years."I said
"Sorry that I am concerd for my little sis."He said and starts to throw airplanes again. I went back inside

"It doesn't feel right. Maybe I need a bigger map?" Said Bonnie
"No the map is okay It have worked with sizes like this for me." I said trying to be helpful
" Maybe you're just put of practice, and you suck at magic now."
"Ignore him, Bonnie pretwnd he's a white noise machine. That's how I used to tune out my siblings. I grew up with tons of little sisters and brothers. You know, all of them constantly yammering. But it, uh, taught me how to focus." Kai said and meanwhile he was getting closer to Bonnie
"Ew get a room." I said and fake gaged, Bonnie just rolled her eyes at me
"Easy there, big brother. She doesn't know you. At least buy her a drink." Said Damon while taking a sip from hid bourbon

The spell worked and it showed on the map that it was in Mystic Falls
"The blood's moving towards Virginia. Can't be right."Said Kai
"It's showing me Mystic Falls.It feels so..."Said Bonnie and put her hand on his chest and the candles began to get stronger. She took the ascendant from his pocket
"That is the ascendant?" I asked
"The one and only." Said Kai
"Thanks for the mind games, jackals."Sarcastically said Damon
"It was just another little test. To make sure Bonnie's magic was precise enough for the spell. I do believe you're ready. Pack your bags. We're going home." Kai said to us

I took the things I most needed well....just my diary because my belongings from 1994 aren't here because I was in Spain at that time.

When we packed we went followed Kai outside
"You're wandering around like a crazy man, why?" Question Damon
"I'm looking for the exact right spot. We need to find where the power eclipse is focused." Answered Kai
"You know, you could've showed us the ascendant to begin with. But I wanted to feel your hand on my chest, well I would rather Iz to do it but she can't do magic at the moment." Said Kai
"Wait how do you know about that?" I asked confused
"Remember that I stalked you?"Kai said
"Yeah but I didn't say it neither did Damon and Bonnie."I said
"Oh, yeah I read your diary."Kai said casually
"What? You know what is diary right? It is private. Do you know what privacy mean?" I asked getting frustrated at him
"Easy there tiger." Damon joked
"Something is not right about him." Said Bonnie suspicious
"You're not used to guys hitting on you." Joked Damon
"You know I can't wait to get out of here....so I don't need to talk to you."Bonnie said getting annoyed at Damon
"Can we just have a free seconds of peace, while this idiot uses the ascendant to get the stars align?"I said already wanting to go home and see how's everyone
Bonnie picked up a newspaper
"Hey what's written on it?" I talked to Bonnie while Damon talked to Kai about the eclipse
"It's about Oregon. You know Kai said he had all those brothers and sisters?" Bonnie asked me and I nod
"Family massacred in Portland. The only one missing was the oldest boy. 22 year old named Malachai." Read loud out

"Who names a kid Malachai? Like they expected me to be evil." Said Kai
"These kids were murdered." Said Bonnie angry at him
"Hello? Not everyone died. I had a soft spot for one of my sisters. Otherwise I would've cut her lungs out, not just her spleen." Said Kai with casual expression
"What?" I asked confused by his calm expression
"You can survive without a spleen." Said Kai
"Something tells me you're not speaking hypothetically." Damon said. Kai got closer to us with Bonnie and started explaining
"Look, these two, I, uh, hung off the stairwell railing. Then I put a hunting knife in her abdomen. And him, I drowned in the pool. But he kept fighting me. And I was, like, 'I saved you for last, you ungrateful little..' Anyway. That was that" Explained Kai like It was nothing
"You just killed your whole family," Question Bonnie
"Coven, to be precise. Oh, you know, a family of witches." Said Kai
"Wait, you are a witch?" Damon asked clearly confused
"Sort of, yeah. No powers, obviously. Oh, and of course Gemini Coven did not take it well when they heard what I did in Portland. That's why they banished me here." Admit Kai
"I realized something. This place I prison. They created it for you." I said
"Bingo. This isn't your Hell, Damon. Its mine." Kai said grinning

We went back inside after that.
"We're not letting Kaiout of here, okay? He just said he's a serial killer." Said Bonnie totally ignoring the fact that Kai is behind her
"I have to agree with Bonnie." I said
"I don't care. I want to get out of here. Also you know Izzy that we've done lots of horrible things, too." Damon said to both of us with Bonnie
"Yeah, but I feel remorse." I said
"How can you not care. Maybe because killing a bunch of kids is not a big deal to someone who's murdered a pregnant woman. Am I wrong?" Said Bonnie glaring at him and Damon told the whole story about the pregnant woman and of course I knew it even if I wasn't there Stefan told me everything later
"Ouch. Poor nephew-uncle Zach." Said Kai
"Oh, come on, Izzy, Bonnie. You want to go home to your friends and family. I want to go back and give the rest of the Gemini Coven an excruciating death. Win-win." Said Kai trying to dissuade us
" Kai you're not helping." Said Damon through gritted teeth and came closer to Bannoie and me
"Look, I know this guy is not a model citizen but I gotta get back. Not just for Elena, but for my brother." He said looking at Bonnie then at me when he said the brother part and I looked at the floor
"I'm sorry, Damon." Said Bonnie with remorse
"Sorry doesn't work for me." Said Kai and tried to grab Bonnie's wrist but I pinned him against the wall
"Don't ever lay a hand on her."I said glaring at him
"Kind of a non-issue now. Missed today's eclipse. Rain check for tomorrow?" Kai asked me
"No." Said Bonnie and stormed off outside. I let Kai

Damon's POV
We missed today's eclipse and it became night I went to the kitchen for more bourbon and saw Bonnie eating
"Shame eating?" I asked
"Thinking about that pregnant lady. She had a thing for pancakes." Bonnie said casually
"That's what you remember?" I question her
"You remember it don't you? You make pancakes every day." Said Bonnie
"Because I'm bored." I said taking a sip from my bourbon
"No, because you are punishing yourself. You called this place your Hell. That means you feel remorse. That's what makes you with Izabella different than Kai. Means there'shope for you." She said trying to find the good in me
"Look, we can still get out of here, Bonnie. We can steal that ascendant contraption. Find out what Kai knows. We'll ditch him. He doesn't have any powers." I said
In that moment, Kai walks in
"Actually, it's not that simple." Kai said like he knows it all
"You gotta stop doing that. It's creepy." I said getting annoyed at him

Izabella's POV
After what happened with the argument Bonnie and Damon had earlier today I sped the whole day in my bedroom writing in my diary. I noticed it's starting to get darker so I went downstairs for dinner only to see the three of them bickering....again.
"What is happening?"I asked
They all ignored me and kept looking at Kai
"Here's the thing: I have a peculiar effect on magic. I can't generate it myself...but I can consume it from others. Temporarily. My family called me an abomination. That hurt my feelings." Kai said looking at me then grab my wrist and take magic from Bonnid. She moan in pain then he use a spell to make one of the chairs be on fire and use a spell to give me and Damon headache
"Okay. We get it." Said Damon while he held his hands on his head because of the headache
At that moment Kai let her and stopped everything
"You can see why my coven and I don't get along. If I consume all of Bonnie's magic, I'm just gonna end up killing her." He said and got closer to me
"But if we work together we can all go home as friend. Or I can devout her magic, kill you two, and go home alone." Said Kai. We all glared at him, he them started to eat Bonnie's pancakes while grinning at us
"You're a horrible person, Kai." I said
"I just do what is necessary for me to get my freedom." He said, I scoffed at him
"I'm going to bed, so goodnight, Damon and Bonnie." I said to them ignoring Kai then went to sleep
