Chap 5

I started to walk towards the end of the aisle dazed from what I saw. My entire body felt like there was a weight crushing it.

"Mumei?" My thoughts snapped as I then looked up and saw Kronii.

"There you are, I've been trying to find you!"

"w-who was that woman?"

"Eh? Oh, you saw.....well she's my girlfriend technically."

"Technically?....."

"She confessed to me yesterday and I said we can try to make it work"

"I-I see...."

(Why am I even interested in her love life?......)

"Oh? Did you want to buy that book?" My thoughts broke again.

"huh? Oh, umm, no...it's a bit expensive so I'll pass."

"Then I'll pay."

"Wha?- no no it's fine." Kronii grabbed the book out of my hand and started to walk to the cashier.

"Kronii, I said it's fine."

"Nope, I brought you here so might as well leave with something."

"It's too expensive"

"Well, I'm quite well off." She said as she smirked at me. I sighed as I realized there was no way of stopping her. Kronii finished paying for the book and handed it to me as I thanked her. We started to walk out of the store and head the opposite direction of the school.

"We aren't going back?"

"Well, dorms don't close till 8 and it's still 6. So I'm taking you somewhere to kill some time." Kronii held my hand and started to run.

(w-wait....I'm not supposed to run....but....I think I can manage....right?.....)

When we got to the place Kronii immediately barged in.

"Where are we?"

"We're in an arcade"

"But don't you need to buy tickets to play?"

"Oh, I come here daily pretty much so I bought a 5 yr subscription."

"F-five?! But that's more than a thousand dollars!!"

"As I said, I'm quite well off." Kronii dragged me to a station and grabbed one of the station guns.

"You know how to play this game?"

"N-no."

"Well you shoot at the zombies and that's it." I slowly grabbed the station gun and held it up.

"Mumei, you're holding it backwards...."

"o-oh." Kronii put her gun down and then stood behind me. Kronii then slid her arms next to mine with her hands holding mine and then held my gun up straight. I saw the reflection on the screen that Kronii lowered her head and went next to mine.

"This is how you hold it." My face started to gush red as my heart started to race. It felt like it raced to the point where it's like a loudspeaker that everyone can hear. Kronii then let go of me and went to grab her gun. My arms started shaking when she left. We played in the arcade for what felt like hours and hours.

"Ah I think it's about time to head back." Looked at my phone and saw the time, '7:47'

"right." We left the arcade and started to walk back to the school dormitories.

"Kronii, you don't live at the school like me, so why are you going this way with me?"

"Well I wanted to make sure that you're safe on the way back." Silence then stood.

"T-today was fun." Kronii then looked at me.

"Mumei, how about we make this a weekly thing?"

"what?"

"I'll take you out once a week."

"B-but I don't want you to waste your time on me"

"It's fine, I have nothing to do anyways. What do you say?"

"ok then...."

"Then I'll wait for you at the school entrance every week after school then."

"o-ok...." We kept walking back to the dormitories as the night got colder and colder. I started to hug myself tightly to keep myself warm. I started staring at the night sky. It was like a big pile of ink with no glimpse of light except for the moon shining through it. I then felt something rest on top of my shoulders. I then looked at it and realized that Kronii gave me her coat.

"Ah, Kronii it's not that cold"

"Mumei, it's 12 degrees."

"Then wouldn't you be cold?"

"Nah, I usually stay out like this at night." I grabbed Kronii's coat with my hand inside it tightly.

(It smells like her....) The scent of Kronii's coat caught me in a daze.

"We're here." My daze broke and I looked up to see the school dormitory. I started to take off the coat and then got stopped by Kronii.

"Keep it."

"But it's yours"

"Mumei, I've noticed that every time I see you, you always wear short sleeves, it's also god damn winter, so I then realized that you have no jackets or long sleeves to keep you warm."

"So keep it. I have tons anyways."

"t-thanks..." I opened the door to the building and felt the warm heater inside.

"Goodnight Mumei." I turned my head and looked at her.

"Goodnight." I started to walk up the stairs when I finished saying goodbye to Kronii. My pulse started to raise as I kept having the coat on me. When I opened my door I saw Fauna sitting on her bed with a worried face on her.

"Mumei, where have you been?! I've been worried sick about you!"

"I-I was with Miss Ouro." Fauna's expression immediately changed.

"Were you on a date?!"

"No, she just took me out to get close to me."

"So a date."

"No!"

"Fine, keep lying to yourself about it."

I started to take off the coat and put it on a chair.

"Is that her coat?~"

"Shut it Fauna!" Fauna giggled. I walked to my bed and sat down. I touched my forehead with my hand as I then quietly groaned to myself. I felt my head getting dizzy from it. I laid down and closed my eyes slowly. I felt my body burning.
