Chap 8

(Mumei's pov)

My heart shattered when I heard her answer, but....it was expected......

I wanted to cry and hide, but that would be useless.

"I-I should go." I stood up and Kronii grabbed my wrist to stop me.

"It's already 8 Mumei, by the time we get back it's past 8."

"O-oh...."

"You can stay here for the night."

"But I didn't bring spare clothes-"

"You can borrow mine."

(Borrow hers?!)

"Now, shall we continue the lesson?"

"I- um, I feel tired...so I think I'll just go to sleep."

"The spare clothes are in the guest room. That's that hallway then take a right."

"Got it...." I stood up and started to walk to the given location. When I entered the room it was huge, even though it was just a guest room. I changed my room and laid down on the bed. I closed my eyes and saw pitch black and then eventually lost consciousness.

"Lui?"

"Mumei, let's end our relationship."

"Wha-?....." my heart felt like it got stomped on.

"Wait please we can fix it!"

"I'm sorry. But I don't want to see you anymore." Tears came out of my eyes.

"Mumei." I turned around.

"Kronii?..."

"I will never date you."

(s-stop. My heart....) I started to pant a bit as I continued crying.

"Mumei, I have bad news." I looked again.

"Mom?"

"The doctors can't improve your situation." I grabbed my head and gripped tightly. I bent down to the floor with my eyes looking everywhere. I saw words in graved, 'No'

I felt like I was backed into a corner not being able to get out.

(s-so many rejections..........) I heard a bark in the distance and then I looked up.

"A-nimal?..." Animal started to run towards me but then I saw his body get rammed by a truck. My eyes widened.

"n-no.......I-....."

"Mumei!" I jolted up as the lights then blinded my eyes. I looked around and saw Kronii hovered over me on the bed. (I-it was a dream......)

"Mumei are you alright?"

"y-yea....."

"Well clearly you're not. Your eyes are red, and your face is wet." I dried off my face with my sleeves and rubbed my eyes.

"Mumei, does this have anything to do with what happened a few hours ago?" I started to remember that forced kiss I did on Kronii and her rejection afterwards.

"no." I started to cough a bit but covered it with my sleeves. I looked at my sleeves and saw blood on it. My eyes widened as I then quickly shoved my arm under the blankets.

"Y-you can go now. I just had a nightmare is all." Kronii looked at me and then grabbed my arm from under the blankets.

"Mumei, do you care about explaining what this is?"

"I-.... don't know..."

"Don't lie to me Mumei." I thought long and hard about whether or not I should tell. (She's gonna find out one way or another anyways........)

"Kronii, I was born with a weak body...so every now and then I might have some health issues. I also have some mental issues because of something that happened a couple of years ago. The doctors can't improve my situation, so they suggest I should be monitored every night."

"Then I'll monitor you overnight."

"Aren't you weirded out by my situation?"

"No. It's just normal. Some people are different than others is all."

"But you don't need to monitor me."

"Mumei, for all I know, you could have had a panic attack."

"Well, I'm fine."

"No you are not."

"Mumei, I get you might be a bit upset with my rejection, but this is about your health."

"Stop treating me like I'm some weakling!"

"Mumei. I'm not." I laid back down on the bed and faced away from Kronii.

"Then please leave."

(Kronii's pov)

I stood up and closed the lights and then the door. I sat back down in the chair and monitored Mumei.

(Mumei. Truth is....I'm afraid...)
