The sun hit Cas' face as he woke up the next morning. Alice still hadn't moved off of him and her fingers still interlaced his own. As he looked at her he smiled, he didn't want this to end. It was as happy as he had been in months, she always brought the best out of him.

However she began to turn. "What time is it," she groaned.

"I'm not too sure." They both sat up and Alice combed through her hair. Cas continued to look at her, "We should continue looking for the demon."

"Agreed," suddenly the white dress was gone and was replaced by something warmer. "But first we'll get food." She looked at herself in the mirror and with a flick of her finger placed a hat on her head. "I could really go for some bacon."

"Right," said Cas as he changed his own clothing. "I think I saw some food places just down the road."

"Awesome," Alice smiled. "Race you to the bottom."

Before Cas could register what she had meant, Alice leapt through the window and was already doing parkour down the fire escape. He saw her spinning down each railing gracefully. "Better luck next time," She screamed up.

"That's what you think," he shouted back. He took a step back and jumped off the railing letting a green ribbon of light latched to a bar. Passing Alice he stuck his tongue out. When his feet touched the ground he look up to Alice who had two flights to go.

She hit the ground with a thud, "No fare."

"Hey," he folded his arms, "Last time I checked you got a head start."

They both stated to laugh at each other. It was like old times only better. As they began to walk out of the alleyway Alice stopped him. "Your hair is a mess just as always." As she ran her hands through his head she said, "You need a haircut."

"Tell me about it I don't think I've had one since summer." They were walking once again, "I don't think personal grooming is something Eli had on his priority list."

Before Alice could say anything he vanished but yet was by her side. "Cas?" She went back were the alley ended and she could see Cas again. "Well it looks like we found the line."

"Great I don't know how this is going to work out." Cas couldn't believe that he had forgotten that he was invisible to the public eye.

Alice pull two phones from behind her back, "Here take one of my phones, at least we can text to each other."

Cas decided to take the silver phone and Alice seemed a little bummed. "Sorry," he said, "bejewel cases aren't my thing."

"Neither are they for me." She looked down at the phone, "My dad thought it'd be a great sweet sixteen gift." She rolled her eyes. Her dad was a nice guy it's just Alice and him never could communicate well after her mother left him. All she was to him is a reminded of his failure.

Cas instantly felt terrible, "I completely forgot about your birthday."

"Cas it's fine," she he held on to his hand, "you can make up for it by buying me breakfast." She pulled him forward into the public were he couldn't be seen. She pulled out the phone and began texting to him.

He pulled out the phone and read, lead the way. And right away texted back, yes Miss Wonderland. She punched him straight in the stomach. The text came two seconds later, jerk.

There walk to the café wasn't awkward apparently even in the city no one really liked waking up earlier than ten. They just kept sending texts back and forth joking as if they were still in school, but really there wasn't even an inch between them. The only person who seemed creped out was their waiter who didn't understand why this girl who was skinner than her could eat so much food.
