Placing the items for Cia into his own ring Cas turned to Eli, "That was literally one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had in the world of magic."
"Yeah well for it being so great you'd expect him to give us a way out." Eli was observing his surroundings slightly miffed. "Can you do that thing were you figure something out almost too conveniently?"
"I have no idea what you're talking about, Eli." Pointing the key in a random direction one of the points on the star lit up. "Transportation relics are this way."
"Of course they are."
Wasting no time at all they ran down the halls of the vault. It was miles deep, regardless that ran forward only stopping when they needed to refresh their haste spell. By the time they made it to the hall they were amazed to see how many object there was.
"Well this is very inconvenient," Cas sighed in frustration. He hoped that everyone was okay It had been hours since they had seen Christopher and with each second that frightened him even more.
"Any one of these could work," Eli said.
"Yeah but we can't just assume that they don't have consequences." Cas began to rummage through each trunks of stuff.
"Try using your precognition to find the right object," Eli said.
"I don't think I can." Cas felt his chest where the mark still was. "The spell is still there."
"Cas I believe in you, just try." Eli looked at Cas with pride.
"Okay," he said. Slowly he walked to the centre of the hall and closed his eyes. At first he could only see a few steps ahead, but he pushed himself further and further. One step, then two, eventually became five and then he saw it all. As he opened his eyes he gasped for air and pointed to the box beside Eli. "White with feathers," he said finally getting the words out. He could feel the marks breaking away from him and smiled at his victory.
Pulling out a small wind chime Eli asked, "Is this it."
"Yeah." Cas was smiling. "Now we just need a little bit wind." Blowing on the chime the wind became stronger as the chime grew louder. Before they realized what had happened they stood in an ally with the surrounding buildings in shambles.
"This can't be right," Eli said eyes wide. "What has he done?"
As if they smelled fresh blood, thousands of wolf demon began to run toward them, blocking both exit ways. "This is not good," Cas said now in his armour with an arrow pulled back waiting to fire.
"I think we're going to need a lot more than that Cas," Eli said bracing himself to fight.
"Well, sadly it's all we got."
The wolves began to charge, but were stopped by two thick walls of ice. "It's about time you showed up to the party," Jaxs said. In a cloud of frost he formed and stood beside them along with Alistair.
"You look horrid," Cas said sarcastically.
"Oh yeah tough guy," Jaxs sneered. "try fighting over a thousand of these things with a support as your only backup."
Alistair murmured, "Dick."
"Give me the run down Jaxs," said Cas.
"All the second gens are being held captive in the main courtyard, currently there is only one place where people are safe and so everyone who can fight is being deployed to guard that location, and then there's us Pilgrimages doing what we feel is best."
A large crack in the ice wall formed. "Get ready," Eli screamed.
Slowly, the first wall fell with the defining sound of a thousand wolves howling their last howl. Confused, Cas looked into the remains to see a man covered in demon's blood rushing toward them. As he zoomed pass he said calmly, "I'll be with you in just a second." Leaping over ten stories over the ice wall he launched himself into the wolves for a second time.
