Once the book shelf came swinging open Eli sprang out from his chair. "It's about time," He said.
"Nice to see you too Eli," said Cas.
"She has been banging on my door for at least the past the past half hour." Eli began to run his hand through his hair, "I am, literally, about to go insane."
As he was about to break the spell Cia stopped him. "Wait just a second."
"What could possibly be so important," Eli said slightly irritated.
She looked at Cas, "When I was going through your memories I saw you looking at documents and asking about an Alex guy."
"What about him," Cas asked.
"His journal I think I've seen it before." Cia looked at the door, "In Joan's office."
Eli looked at her, "Are you sure?" She shook her head yes. "Okay then." Lifting his hand the mark left the door and Joan rushed in.
"It's about time," She said rushing to stand by Cia, but became frozen in her steps. "What is the meaning of this," She said with anger. "Spell Breaker!" But nothing happened, he was there still frozen un able to move.
"After my last incident with Sirens thinking that they could just barge in to my office I made sure to add some extra instalments to my security," Eli said. He looked over to Cia, "Go get it."
As she ran toward the door Joan began to shout, "You better tell me what is going on Eli, defender of man! The council will be displeased to hear that you have kidnapped me."
"I got it," Cia announced coming back into the room.
Giving it to Cas he looked at it with his inscriber eyes and broke the spell that was cast upon it. "Nice try, Joan."
"This is it," Cas said skimming through the first few pages.
"Care to explain Joan," Eli said, but she remained quiet. "That's what I though." Slowly they walked over to the corner far away from where she was. "What's the plan you two?"
"I think that I should go to the ceremony while you guys interrogate her," Cia said.
"What no," Cas said. "Without you we wouldn't have been able to figure this out."
"Yeah but if I don't go it will raise even more suspicion." She pulled out a piece of paper. "There's already an early summons for me to be there any minute now. I have to go."
"Fine," he said sounding very disappointed. His dagger formed in his hand. "here take this just in case something goes down."
She took the dagger and slid it in her sleeve. "I'll be back as soon as I can."
Joan looked at Cia with an intense anger, "Siren traitor."
Quickly Cia spun around and punched Joan straight in her jaw. "I have been wanting to do that since the first day I saw you." She closed the door as she left.
"Let's begin shall we," Eli said opening up the journal. "For over three months this Alex kid began and ended each entry with 'don't trust Joan, of the Arches.' Do you care to explain that?"
"Did you know that Eli's the reason why Christopher isn't dead is because of this man," she said looking toward Cas. "He was his mentor after all."
"Nice try Joan," Cas said. "I was there the night you all had your meeting and I can put two and two together a lot easier than that."
"Just answer the question Joan," Eli said not even raising.
She just began to laugh. "Oh, please this whole situation is just so ironic. I mean you and him what were the odds."
