Leafy paddled the boat with her hands, careful not to splash Firey. Quite unfortunate that X took the propeller powering the boat, but they could manage.
"Leafy, y'know I can push the boat, right?" Firey asks, seeing Leafy's exhaustion after paddling for so long.
"No Firey, I'm fine." Leafy responds.
"But you seem tired-"
"I told you I'm fine!"
The two of them sit in silence, the only ambience being the patter of the water and the song of heavy winds. Eventually, Leafy fell asleep, leaning over the edge of the boat with her hand still running atop the water. Firey laid her down in a more comfortable position, placing her hand in her lap.
"Sleep tight Leafy. I got this." Firey lightly rows the boat with his hands, careful to keep the water away from his flame.
