Empty Space // Fireafy Fanfic

Red and Blue

Leafy spent quite a long time trying to build a sturdy boat, eventually falling asleep onto the ground. Leafy found herself in an empty space filled with smoke, along with Red Leafy, staring back at her with those big, round eyes.

"W-What? Why are you here? Where am I?" Leafy looked around, hoping to find an answer. When she looked back, she found that Red Leafy had gotten closer.

"Why are you here?" Leafy asked, this time desperate.

Red Leafy didn't respond. Instead, she teleported closer again.

Leafy backed away from her. "St-stay away from me." Suddenly, a voice behind her spoke.

"Oh Leafy, do you truely still view us as monsters?" Blue's voice said in a whispery voice.

Leafy turned to face them. "Of course I do! You burned down an island full of people."

"Oh honey, it wasn't full of people when I burned it."

"You took away innocent people's homes!"

"Only to make a home for me and my girl!"

"You could do that without hurting people."

"You say that as if you don't hurt people."

Leafy stepped back, thrown off by their words.

"Firey died, Leafy. But you already knew that. You already knew that Firey's willing to die for you. But his deaths hurt more than you think."

"Well I'm going to bring him back! He'll be fine. It'll be like nothing happened."

"Oh Leafy, Firey only gets worse every time he comes back. How could you not notice," They came closer to Leafy and placed their hand on her face. "Dying hurts, Leafy."

"No, no, shut up! Firey's perfectly fine and I'll prove it!" Leafy said, slapping their hand away.

"Go ahead. In the end, you'll see that I was right."

Everything faded to black, then Leafy woke up in a boat with Gelatin and Flower.

"Are you okay Leafy? You were squirming a lot." Gelatin said.

"Yeah. Were you having a nightmare or something?"

"Kinda. Just forget about it. Let's recover Firey!"

And with that, they rode in silence for the rest of their journey.
