Chapter 11

(A/N I've realized Sophie might not be able to figure out where someone is across entire cities... BUT THAT'S WHAT FANFICTIONS ARE FOR! I also forgot to add Dex's Keefe tracking machine... So in this chapter, we'll be fixing that!)

Sophie had leaped over to Slurps and Burps, to see Dex and ask him to create a Keefe-Tracker, after she tried multiple times to draw a straight line across Singapore on the list, and failed at least a bajillion times before she finally got (Close enough to anyway) a straight line.

She had just stepped in, when a hand yanked her to the side, and she came face to face with the one and only Dexster Alvin Dizznee.

"Edaline told my mom, who told my dad, who told Alden, who told Della, who told Fitz, who told Biana, who told Tam, who told Linh, who told Wylie, who told Maruca, who told Marella, who told Jensi, who told the greasy ponytail boys, who told the triplets, who I eavesdropped on what happened," Dex told me.

"Wait, who's Jensi?" I asked, Dex looked surprised.

"The kid who showed you around Foxfire, he let us sit at his table with the greasy ponytail boys, before Marella "saved" you?" Dex tried.

"Oh, yeah! Also aren't you the same age as him?" She asked.

"Anyways back on topic," Dex said, changing the conversation, "I'm guessing you tried a shot at finding Keefe alone, and ultimately failed because you need your friends."

Sophie nodded, "Not exactly, but close enough. So... can you make the Keefe-Tracker gadget?" She questioned.

"Can I? Of course, I can. Let's just get to my room first, then we'll do the important talk."

Sophie raised an eyebrow, "Wasn't all that important?"

"Ehh, I mean sure. But the important, important stuff. The stuff other people can't hear." He explained.

"What kind of stuff?" She questioned.

"I just said we can't talk about it in the literal shop!"

"Oh yeah..."

"Is that your catchphrase now?" Dex teased as he led her away toward his room.

"What?" Sophie scrunched her nose.

"The Lady Fossboss Oblivious, leader of team Valiant, with the catchphrase of: 'Oh yeah'." He said waving dramatically.

Sophie gently shoved him, "Oh, shush you."

They reached his room, and he stopped and looked up at her.

"Before I start making the Keefe-Tracker, promise me you won't go alone?" He asked her, in all sincerity.

Sophie pursed her lips...

Guys, I saw a chance to add Jensi and I took it.

I really hope he plays an important part in the next book of Kotlc!

Seriously, though, he disappears for like 9 books (Because there are 10 if we count 8.5 as a full one), and then in the last one he FINALLY pops back up and is (Spoiler alert) TALENTLESS!

And (Spoiler alert again) REX IS TALENTLESS!!!

SHANON HOW COULD YOU BE SO CRUEL?!? WHY WOULD YOU HURT THE CHILDREN?!?!?

...But yeah.
