As soon as the school day was over, Sophie light-leaped back to Havenfield, running through the pastures, giving a rushed greeting to Grady and Edaline as she entered the house, and rushed to her room.

When she reached her room and shut her door, she put down her bag, and emptied it of its contents. After a little shuffling through the pile of homework, and other assignments, she finally found the buried KT (Keefe-Tracker in case anyone forgot), and turned on the square device.

The weird antennas started buzzing weirdly, and the screen activated, displaying a black and white map that looked suspiciously similar to Google Maps- no, wait, is that a red pin? It's definitely based off of Google Maps.

Oh. Wait. The red pin probably is Keefe... he's staying at a luxury hotel? How'd he even get the money to purchase a room there??

Sophie shook that thought out, and decided to focus on more important things. Mainly Keefe's in Paris???

Sophie was about to run out the window then and there, to teleport to Keefe, but thought otherwise of it. Mainly because if she left without leaving a note, they might think she'd gotten kidnapped by the Neverseen, again.

So she hurriedly ripped a sheet of paper from an empty page of her notebooks, and scribbled down, a small note that she could only pray would shorten the lecture she was bound to get when she got home with Keefe.

To Mom and Dad~

I've left to bring Keefe back, I'll be back within the next 3 days, don't worry. Don't come looking for me.

Of course, they were no doubt gonna look for her, so she'll just have to take the KT with her.

She left the note on her desk, and jumped out the window, and entered the void.

The void was empty as usual, and she pictured the only landmark in Paris that she could think of. The Eiffel Tower, of course!

Oh, wait- if any humans saw her teleporting, that wouldn't be too good. Maybe she should have actually thought this through-

Crack

She didn't get to finish that thought before she was spat out of the void, into one of the many trees surrounding the Eiffel Tower, hitting her stomach against a branch. She was definitely gonna feel that in the morning.

She groaned as she sucked the breath back into her lungs, and swung off the branch, pulling out the KT and following the blue line on the screen (Her current location was also shown as a blue dot) to the red pin.

Sophie may have bumped into a couple of people earlier, but she didn't actually register it, because she was about to find Keefe!

The fancy luxury hotel was just around the block! She ran toward it full speed, and maybe it was the adrenaline of the situation that she'd finally find her friend that she didn't get tired.

She ran into the building, her excitement overflowing, as she vibrated from the pure joy at the prospect of seeing Keefe again. Sure, she got some weird looks, because a 16 year old kid just burst into a luxury hotel, and started acting weird, but she couldn't help it! Keefe was here! It felt so surreal to her!

However, due to the lack of planning, she hadn't thought of how she'd find Keefe amidst all the doors in the hotel.

She didn't let that discourage her though! She skipped over to the reception desk, eyes bright with anticipation, as she asked the receptionist if there was a boy around her age, with ice blue eyes, and messy blond hair. The receptionist gave her a weird look in response, causing Sophie to blush slightly, sputtering out something about how 'No, he's not some sort of dream boy I met! I swear, he's my friend!'.

In the end, she miraculously got directions to the room that was presumably Keefe. Room 648, she knocked on the door, silently praying that it was Keefe who was on the other side, and not some grumpy rich guy.

It seems like luck really favors Sophie today, because by some miracle she was indeed greeted by none other than Keefe Sencen himself...
