"Because, when it's here it'll be easier to hide, Blonde!" Ro explained, rolling her eyes as if to say 'Obviously'. Sophie resisted the urge to take off the dagger and its sheath.

"But... Why do I need it? It's not like I'm gonna kill anyone, right?" Ro avoided meeting her gaze, and Sophie squinted her eyes suspiciously, "Riiiight?" Sophie promoted.

Ro gave up, and sighed, "Look blonde, if you ever have to -and you probably will- it is better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it." Sophie frowned.

"Hey, I don't like killing, but I know, it's either them or me, and I prefer them. Got it Blonde?" Sophie hesitated still. "Remember the words whenever you hesitate. 'It's either them or me'."

Find him

I need to find him before the Neverseen.

Protect him from the Neverseen.

I can't do that if I'm not willing to make some sacrifices.

Sophie nodded, she was determined to find Keefe before the Neverseen, and bring him home.
Her dagger now dubbed 'Hope' was going to help her with just that.

"Thank you, Ro." She nodded, "Anytime Blonde!"

"Forklenator wants me to warn dad about some rebel ogres, and I'll probably have to catch 'em. But..." She reached inside her chest plate and pulled out some bacteria."If you find him, put this on your skin. It'll glow on me letting me know."

Sophie hesitated, "What about your mission? Wouldn't you have to leave your investigation?"

"Eh, I'd come running back to sparkle town, if it meant seeing a Sokeefe reunion." Ro shrugged, and Sophie felt her cheeks burn.

"Sokeefe?" She asked, and immediately wished she could take the words back.

Ro grinned, "Yep! Can't wait to see you go 'Oh Keefe, I loved you but was too oblivious to see it' then he be like 'Really? After all those times I flirted with you?' then yo-"

"STOP!" Sophie interrupted. "That is so gross on so many levels!" She huffed, "I mean, he's my ex-boyfriend's best friend!" Ro rolled her eyes. "Okay sure, nobody likes anybody romantically or anything."

"I'm serious. Keefe is just a friend." Ro snorted. "Yeah, 'Just a friend'." She said doing a horrible mimic of Sophie's voice.

"Glad we agree."

"Woah, where'd all that sass come from, Blonde?" Sophie smirked, "Wouldn't you like to know."

"Uh... Yes, I would."

"RHETORICAL QUESTION!" Sophie yelled.

"Okay, okay, no need to get all yell-y" Ro defended, Sophie huffed. "Anyways I should probably get going." Ro walked out the door, "AND DON'T FORGET TO USE THE BACTERIA!" She called,

"Don't worry... I won't." Sophie muttered, then cringed at the idea of putting on it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time skip cuz I need 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At dawn, Sandor woke her up. She forgot that she told him to wake her up to start training with her dagger.
She sat up groggily, rubbing her eyes, and yawning.
"Tell me when you are up and ready to start. I'll be waiting in the pastures, Miss. Foster." Sandor's squeaky voice told her.
Sophie sighed and got up from her bed. If Keefe were there he'd probably tease her about her hair, or how she usually sleeps till lunchtime.
She took a shower, brushed her hair, and got fresh new clothes on -a gray tunic, and black leggings.
She walked out to Havenfield's pastures, shivering at the morning dew, and the frost still on the grass.
"Miss. Foster, I presume you are ready?" Sandor asked, Sophie nodded, despite the fact that she had forgotten about how cold it got in the mornings.
"Good, I set up the targets for you to strike. Try to disarm them while moving."
Sophie wasn't sure she could do it, but she tried. She ran in a straight line and tried cutting of their arms...
Hey guys! So, I apologize for the cliffhanger, I REALLY do! And also sorry for the short chapter! I was going to make it longer but then... Well, I saw a perfect opportunity to cut the chapter finished!
I promise we WILL get to the part where we find Keefe... Eventually...
DON'T HANG ME!
I really hope you enjoyed this as much as I enjoyed writing it!
