Flynn P.O.V.
"Flynn," a voice beside me whispers. I remove my hands and look over. Charles's head is looking down at a book but his eyes are pointed at me.
"What?" I whisper back. His eyes glance around the waiting room. No one seems to be paying attention to us. They are all either asleep, reading a book or magazine, or staring off into space.
"When I went to the bathroom earlier, I was actually sneaking into the employee break room," he says. I scrunch my eyebrows together.
"So? Did you get some kind of special snack or something?" I whisper back. He grins and nods.
"Yes, but you aren't getting any. . . I overheard them talking about Celia. They said that they are letting my parents in," he says. I raise my eyebrows.
"What about me?" I ask. He shakes his head.
"They only said they were allowing the king and queen in. I didn't hear much of the conversation but they aren't letting you in. The nurse was about to question it but had to get away before the doctor could explain much," Charles says.
"Well, they should have to let me in. I'm her husband," I say. He shakes his head.
"Technically, they don't have to let my parents in. . . But if it's okay for them to go in then it is technically okay for anyone to go in," Charles says. I shake my head.
"I don't want to go in there and be the cause of Celia becoming even worse," I explain. Charles shrugs.
"That's too bad, because I was planning a break in," he says.
"You know break ins are normally when you break in somewhere and steal stuff," I say. He ignored me.
"I guess Astra, Emily, and I are going to break in all on our own. . . But, hey, the less people coming the better," he says. I sigh and shake my head.
"How are you breaking in?" I ask. He gets a light nod of his head to the medal covering on the wall.
"Air vents. They're everyone in this place. One leads to each of the rooms. If we crawl through them long enough we should find one that leads to Celia," he says. I lean back in my chair and rub the bridge of my nose, trying to think of a response.
"Do you know how much trouble we'll get in if we get caught?" I ask. He grins and nods.
"But we can't get into that much trouble. . . Or at least with the hospital. There's no telling what my parents would do, but it couldn't be really bad. They would understand that is was an act of love," he says. I nod.
"Okay. When do we start?" I ask. He nods towards the nurses station.
"When they change shifts. The early morning nurses will come in in about an hour if the schedule goes like it has for the last week. The nurses won't be as awake and most likely won't notice if we go through the vents in the room with all the vending machines," he explains. I nod, ready to begin our mission.

"Hush. We have to be quiet," Charles says as Emily climbs into the vent. She looks back at us and rolls her eyes.
"You can't be but so quiet when you're crawling through a middle tube," she says. Charles points to the hole and whispers crawl. She sighs and turns around, following Astra down the hall.
"You go ahead," I tell Charles. He nods and gets in the hole. Once there is enough space for me, I climb inside and cover the hole back up with the metal covering.
"Did you get it covered?" Charles whispers to me as Astra makes it to the first turn.
"Yeah. I got," I whisper back. He holds out an arm to give me a thumbs up, losing his balance in the process. We crawl on in silence. Occasionally, someone will move on top of an unstable piece of metal and make a noise or we'll pass over a vent looking into someone's room.
"I think we're lost," Astra finally whispers back. Charles sighs and falls on his stomach.
"Did you memorize the map?" he asks. She bites down on her teeth and shrugs.
"I memorized the first half. . ." she says. Charles sighs and shakes his head.
"Well, um, let's just keep going that way," he whispers, nodding in front of us. Astra starts moving but Emily doesn't.
"It isn't very comfortable in here. I would rather go back than get lost in here," Emily says. Charles shakes his head and puts ahead.
"Crawl," he orders. Emily sighs and moves on. Charles and I follow in silence. Finally Astra gasps and points down a curve in the air shaft.
"What is it?" Charles asks. Emily tries to strain her head a little to see what her older cousin sees but fails.
"I think it's Celia. Whoever it is has the same red hair and looks like they're asleep," Astra says. Charles nods his head towards the turn.
"See if you can get closer. If you can definitely tell that it's her we'll go in now," Charles says. Astra nods and crawls the short distance of the tunnel. After a few more minutes, she whisper yells back:
"It's definitely her! Come on!" Emily moves forward and Charles and I follow. Astra works on getting the vent open. Finally, after a ton of bickering between her and Charles, she finally gets the covering off and we each slide into the room.
What we see in the bed causes tears to prickle in everyone's eyes. Celia lays there in the bed, her red hair all around her head. Her skin is so white it looks like she saw a ghost - no, it's more like she is a ghost. Her right arm is in a cast and there are bruises all over the rest of her body. She has a mask on her face to help her breath. Cords flow out of the inside of her elbow.
Emily suddenly runs forward and falls on top of Celia. She sobs into her body and starts mumbling stuff about how sorry she is and that it is all her fault. Once the shock of Celia's state has gone, Charles, Astra and I climb back into the tunnel to give Emily her time with Celia.
Okay, first of all this was supposed to be posted yesterday but I got tied up... Second of all, I was going to add what happens with Flynn and Celia to this chapter but it would have been a really long chapter... I might can post that tonight... Please comment and vote!
So, I have been working on a new story. It will be like a spin off of all the other selection stories that I've wrote. I am going to be having a contest for the selected. To find out more information about the story and the contest look at my Instagram! (@finnchellove.wattpad)
Disclaimer: Kiera Cass owns The Selection, I'm just the person that may or may not kill off Celia.
