"I love you. I wish we could stay her forever," I whisper. Flynn rubs my hand while they swing back and forth. The cold sand gets between my toes as we walk. The flip flops on my feet don't help any as the sand gets stuck off my feet.

"You know we don't have to go back tomorrow. We could run away. Your brother could be in charge," Flynn says. I laugh and watch the water run up on the sand and then it quickly goes back to where it came from. Today is the last day that Flynn and I get to enjoy our two week honeymoon. Tomorrow we have to return to the palace to begin preparing to rule the country.

"You know that could not happen. My parents would have the entire country surrounded. Everyone would have their best guards out. The only place we would be able to go is under the sea," I say. Flynn laughs and stops me. He turns me so we're facing each other.

"Is this the way you want things?" he asks. I smile and nod. I wrap my arms around his neck and he wraps his around my waist.

"I wouldn't change a thing," I whisper. He leans down and presses his forehead to mine. I breath in the scent of masculine cologne. His breath tickles my skin. It causes goosebumps to rise on my arms and sends a shiver down my spine.

"Me either," he whispers. His lips slowly connect with mine. The sweetness of his lips cause even more goosebumps to rise on my arms. There is passion in the kiss, something I've felt everyday for the last two weeks. When we pull apart, there is a beautiful sparkle in his hazel eyes. He puts his forehead on mine and stares into my eyes.

"What are you thinking about?" I whisper. He smiles and plants a quick kiss on my nose. He pulls back and his normal smile turns into a devilish one.

"Doing this," he says. Suddenly his left arm is behind me knees and his right is behind my back. He picks me up and carries me over to where the chilly water of the ocean crashes up on the shore.

"What are you doing?" I ask. I already know the answer, though. He drops me in the water. I manage to hold my breath in before my head is under the cold blanket. I pull my head up quickly as he begins to jog away and try to grab on to something. I just barely grab his ankle and he tries to run while pulling me. After a few feet, he trips and falls into the water too.

I stand walk over to him. His head and upper body are out of the water, He still has a devilish smile on his face. "Can you at least help me up?" he asks. I smile and grab his hand. He pulls me down and I land on top of him. His lips land on mine again and the passion that just went away quickly returns.

"Welcome back, prince Flynn, princess Celia," a guard greets as we walk hand-in-hand through the large doors of the palace. It feels like it's been forever since we've been here. Two weeks away was perfect, though. My parents sit together on an upholstered bench. My father is going through papers and my mother is reading. They both look up when they hear the sounds of our feet echoing through the hallways.

"Welcome back, newly weds!" my mother says. She is immediately up and out of her seat enveloping both of us in hugs. My father is right after her.

"Thank you. We're glad to be back," Flynn says. He nods to my parents, still not completely comfortable being around my parents. He claims that it is intimidating being around the king and queen of the country without being married to their daughter.

"Are you really?" my mother asks. We all laugh as I shake my head.

"No we could've stayed at the coast for the rest of our lives," I say. Everyone breaks out in laughter again.

"Oh, we didn't want to come back either. We really didn't have a choice, though. I was already king," my father says. We all laugh again.

"We had actually made plans to run away," Flynn says. We all begin laughing again. It stops, though, when the grandfather clock down the hallway chimes, signalling that noon has arrived.

"Well, I think that is my cue," my father says. He turns to walk away. It takes me a few seconds but the pieces fit together perfectly when my mother clears her throat. When my father turns around she nods her head towards Flynn.

"Um, you have a meeting about the way things are going with the military now, right?" she asks. My father nods and it seems to take him a few seconds to figure out what she is trying to say.

"Oh, right. Um, Flynn. I have a meeting about the military and how things are going since we settled our peace treaty with China. I know you just got back but do you mind joining us?" my father asks. Flynn nods and releases my hand.

"Of course I will join you. I will need all the practice I can get for running the country," Flynn says. My father chuckles and motions down the hallway after picking up his papers. He and Flynn exit, leaving my mother and I alone in the entrance to the palace.

"How is he adjusting?" my mother asks. I look over at her. She wears her natural smile that could seems so kind it could bring homes to the homeless and food to the hungry.

"Well, I believe. He has let on to his feeling about everything he will encounter over the next few years but I think he might be nervous. He just nervous being here with us. I think he will be a good ruler, though," I say. My mother nods and leads me over to the bench where she and my father were sitting earlier.

"I certainly hope you are right. Is he the one you would have picked if it hadn't been pressured on you to pick him?" my mother says. I nod while thinking over everything that happened through out the end of the selection. I connected to very few of the men. When it came down to the bottom three, I was forced to eliminate a writer who fired at my family and the rebel who had a gun pointed at my head, leaving only Flynn.

"I think so. I connected with Kevin and Ethan but not in the same way I did with Flynn. He was different from the others," I say. She picks up her book and stands while nodding.

"I didn't want to hold you, dear. I just wanted to make sure you made the right choice," my mother says. I nod and watch as she walks through one of the doorways that leads to a long hallway. Welcome home to me.

And tada, first chapter! I really hope you enjoyed it! I wasn't really sure what to add this chapter so... I'm hoping to post this at midnight so it will be pretty close! Please tell me what you all think of this because I know there were wishes for another story!
