(A couple hours later...)
Dark walls surrounded Sayuri. Tall bars were strung around her. Only one other person was stuck in this dark room.
There was a small rag on the corner of her room. A hole in the ground —It must've been to go to the bathroom. Other than that, it was bare. Also cold.
Sayuri rubbed the back of her head. It hurt, and she had forgotten why it did.
The other person turned to her. He looked quite aged. Gray hairs were stumbled about his frail body. Yet he still looked menacing.
"Ah, you're awake. Who are you?" He grunted, and looked Sayuri up and down.
"Sayuri Kesseina." Sayuri answered him. Although she didn't feel easy, but she was probably going to be with this guy for a while.
"Who are you?" Sayuri returned the question.
"Sayuri?" He asked, and avoided the question about him. "Not much of a Princess anymore, huh?"
"Well," He continued, "What did you do to end up here? This place is where the worst-of-the-worst end up."
The man waved his hands around himself at "worst-of-the-worst."
"Uhh... I said something about Sparrow." Sayuri answered, but then she repeated her question from before. "So, who are you anyways?"
He ignored her question again with a shrug. "I still remember Sparrow being born... It's been so long..." He murmured. Probably lonely.
'Was he given a life sentence?' Sayuri asked herself. He probably was. What did he do?
"To answer your question, I'm Hemlock. Don't remember my last name. You probably don't know me; name was wiped out of every record for decades now." He replied in a grumble.
"Is it possible to escape here?" She asked.
Sayuri wanted to escape and find the group. She hadn't been able to see them for two months, and she didn't know what was going on there... They haven't appeared in two months... did something happen?
"Escape?" He laughed, "You only just got here!"
"It's impossible to escape." Hemlock added.
"Oh..." Sayuri mumbled.
"Why do you want to escape?" He pried.
The poor guy probably didn't have anyone to talk to for years. It didn't seem like anyone else was in here. The cells were dusty. Some even had moss and rust in them.
"Well, first off, I don't want to be anywhere near that Sparrow guy, and I have a feeling that he'll come. Secondly, some people I know have been rather silent..." Sayuri said the last line in a rather hushed tone.
'But staying here might... never mind. Why do I keep thinking about this?' She thought.
"Alright, didn't ask for the rant, but what people? Why are they silent?" Hemlock's dark eyes searched hers.
"I don't know why they are silent." Sayuri murmured softly.
"What people?" He asked again. "Will more people come here?"
"No! Erm... I mean, I hope not." Sayuri didn't sound like she believed herself on the last line.
"And they are apart of a group thats called Group 7125-B6. Most of the kids in the group were exiled because they got the wrong ability. I... got Flame Abilities despite being from Leaf Tribe..."
"Hm... Is that apart of why you're here?"
He pulled himself forward with his hands. You could tell now that he was missing both legs.
He grumbled on about group names like: 7125-B6. It seemed new to him. A lot of things must be new to him. His words were fragmented. He would say things like: "Poor guys," "Hybrids?", and "Spineless-Leaders."
"Not really. I'm mostly here because I insulted the oh-so great prince." Sayuri answered, "Most of the time, outcasts will just be killed on the spot. Since the Sparrow guy loves me oh so much, I wasn't just killed..."
"Sparrow guy," He laughed to himself.
She turned the attention away from herself, "Oh, and what happened to your legs? What did you do before you ended up... here?"
Sayuri quickly added to herself: 'If he says this is the worst of the worst...' Her mind trailed off.
"A little rude," He scofffed.
However, he gave a reply. "Legs were blasted off while trying to escape."
"So needy," He murmured to himself, and again said fragments like: "Still hurts," and "Broken."
Blasted off? Sayuri trembled a little. 'Maybe it really is impossible to escape this... or I could just...'
"Impossible to leave." He seemed to have read her mind.
