"Lies. You low-ranks, or no-ranks good-for-nothings don't have any proof." Bloom hissed.
Blossom put her hand over Bloom's hand. She leaned over and whispered something to her. It didn't seem to have much of an effect, though.
Edge sent a small glare to Thought and Atlanta. Thought waved her away. Edge sighed. Then, Wisp spoke up.
"I'm not a low-rank," She said in a small voice, "but I still believe; I still know that we have proof,"
"I bet you mismatches are trying to ruin my party. I refuse to let that happen." Twist growled.
This time, Spark was a little distracted. He didn't immediately agree like usual. Instead, he watched the water that streamed down the walls with a worried look.
"You all deserve to die here and now. You all don't have any proof, since mismatches being something normal... was never a thing."
Edge shook her head. This was more than what she had shone to them than before. She muttered something under her breath. Then Edge looked down at them.
"What are you doing?" She whisper-hissed.
"We are telling them the truth—or maybe they already know the truth." Ji-ho whispered; he added the last part quickly.
"Wha— What truth?" She asked a little harshly.
"Sorry," Edge added after a moment. "Just a little... Surprised. That's all."
Her light eyes held so many emotions. Grief; sorrow; anger; joy; confusion. She blinked at Ji-ho, and hoped he would understand.
"Er... Show us the proof." Tributary demanded.
Almost instantly, a small servant climbed out from behind Tributary's seat. The kid came out, and began to climb on the "bridge." The thing shook with each step the small kid did. She let out a yelp when she almost fell through one of the gaps in it.
Tributary clasped his hands together. "Tic-tok!" He called out to the kid.
She couldn't have been much older than a toddler. No one bigger would be able to fit behind the tall throne. Tributary began to snap his fingers. The girl hopped faster over the bridge.
Once she was over, she searched each tied person. Her small fingers ran over each pocket and crevice. Then, she pulled out a crumpled-up piece of paper from Atlanta.
"Aha!" She squealed with joy. The people in the arena gasped.
She made her way back over. Tributary clapped his hands, and the kid jumped with each clap. It was like she was trained to do this. —Like a pet.
Sayuri seemed to shake a bit. Her gaze had dropped to the ground.
Ji-ho waited anxiously for the rulers to say something.
"Is everything alright, Sayuri?" Rustic asked.
He tried to keep his eyes off of the royals. They all eyed the crumbled note eagerly. Their hungry eyes ate every last word on the page. It was hard to recall what it said.
"Yeah, everything is alright. Don't worry about me." Sayuri mumbled.
"Uh... Alright," He nodded.
"This is outrageous!" Pure announced.
"I think that the mismatches here created it! It's fake!" Twist declared.
"This..." Tributary murmured; mainly to himself. "It looks like my son's writing."
Tributary did look like the dead king. Tributary also looked like an older, and shorter, version of Drought. Why didn't Current kill him?
