there are times when
my friends would ask me
“what’s wrong?”
and i couldn’t explicitly
explain the reason that
i stopped listening
to our favorite song.

maybe the rhythm is over,
maybe it’s not.

maybe there’s another way,
or a fresh, new start.

but your love i never doubt,

the beating heart can be worthwhile,
