Each celestial body, unique in its composition and characteristics, holds its own mysteries and allures, like individual pieces in our unknown but gigantic cosmic puzzle, each playing a vital role in the intricate tapestry of the universe. Amongst so many possibilities, the vast extension is a precious oasis of life, teeming with diverse ecosystems and a delicate balance that makes life possible in specific occasions.
Beyond in the universe, exoplanets capture our imagination. Does it hold life? Does it has large grey cities? Does it share the same doubts as us? The questions remains. These distant worlds, orbiting stars far from everything, hold the potential for untold discoveries. They ignite the curiosity of the human being and beckon them to explore the frontiers of space, pushing the boundaries of the human knowledge we are aware of.
Contemplating the universe and its planets also evokes a sense of humility, where everything we know is just tiny specks in the grand scheme of things, mere observers of the cosmic ballet. It reveals the remarkable interconnectedness of all things. It reminds that human race is part of something much greater than their own existence - †a vast cosmic web of energy and matter stretching across the cosmos.
Somewhere inside the universe, among galaxies, stars, gas and solid planets, a giant light blue circle orbited two hot stars. There was the place where the human race reemerged and evolved from the fragility they previously had in their genes. The frozen planet held billions of people already, where they could work, study and love, but also suffer, cry, be a victim of injustice and wish they weren't born. Qorjal held a gigantic greatness of technology, high buildings and vast dangerous deserts. Somewhere inside the city, Lola Pyotr had a fast pace in her feet while she searched out for her long date friend, Isaac Bethervan.
"Isaac, your mother just called." A serious tone just came out of Lola's words. She was ready to continue on telling what Isaac's mom said when she walked into the living room and saw the news on the TV Isaac was watching.
The living room was painted all in dark grey and had a glass thick wall that provided a view of the deep sea. The view in question was amazing during the day because the sunslightning could reach it a bit, when during night time, it was completely free of illumination, resulting in a profound black. Sometimes bioluminescent fishes could be seen amongst the darkness of the sea. The couch was colored in neutral tones as well, and the lights were a comfortable orange. Isaac and Lola were inside of a bunker constructed 100 meters down the frozen sea level.
"Well, that's exactly what I was going to tell you about." Lola continued, taking a place next to Isaac on the couch.
Isaac never left his eyes away from the television, lost and focused in his thoughts. "And why would mother care about a guy found out of the country limits? If he wasn't killed by the monsters out of the border, he'll be killed by the military." He knew why his mother would tell them about that and here is why he stood and got closer to the screen, watching the live footage of the guy the Federal Opus has found.
"She could swear it is him. I don't know how or why, but she affirmed and by the tone of her voice she was hysterical so I don't think she is bluffing." Lola explained, getting Isaac looking at her hazel eyes intensively.
"Where is my mother right now? And my father?" He turned off the TV and wore his jacket. Lola right away did the same. It was pretty cold upstairs.
"I believe both are in the State Union until 26pm. Are we going to Policy City? I love the place." Lola got excited every time she visited Policy City. Mainly because the towers that composed the State building were huge and intensely beautiful, a pleasure for everyone's eyes.
'You know I cannot be in the same place as Kyedoth. He would arrest me for breathing" They started walking towards the elevator, heading to the field floor.
"And you know you're overreacting 'cause he has no proof that can get you locked up, right? He probably forgot about what you did that time. Chill and enjoy the view. We are gonna be just fine."
Lola took advantage of her time and typed a text message to Isaac's mother while they were riding towards his house. She agreed to set up a meeting in their plce to discuss the urgent matter that was turning that city upside down. When the duo entered the house, after almost fifty-minutes of driving, they found it empty. Isaac just took a step down on the left, then took another and turned to the right and entered the kitchen where he found his mother. The first floor was divided like this, the second level was the living room, and the third level was the kitchen, like a stair if the stiles were glued on the edge of one another.
Since the house was located on the top of a mountain, all the rooms had beautiful views and the kitchen was just in front of downtown. The view pictured the enormous buildings of the metropolis. At night it looks extremely enchanting.
"Hello, mother." Isaac hugged her quickly and gave a peck on her cheek with no emotions on his face, but that something that never changed on him. Lola did the same as him, but with a smile towards Angelina.
"Oh, guys... I am so worried about that kid. I can feel it in my heart that was him and I can't let Kye do something horrible to him." Her voice was barged in emotions. Isaac was a bit confused. Is she 100% sure of it? How is she sure of it?
"Can you explain, mother?"
"Isn't it obvious? No one that ever got out of the country safety borders survived the monsters or the cold. There ain't nothing, just a desert of snow and you know it just as any other citizen of this country." Angelina took her black leather coat off and put it on the chair's back, leaning on it also.
"And you didn't hear the best yet." She continued, going later to look for the folder she brought from the State Union. It was an electronic rectangle, extremely thin and light, but full of tech. On it was registered the guy's biological info. Angelina handed it to Isaac and Lola to take a look. Their eyes were widened and were directed to Angelina as soon as they read the info about his origin.
"He survived the 10.000-kilometer snow desert and came from The Other Country. Now he just has to survive Kye."
