Isaac responded the message thinking about what Regee wanted to talk. He knew he was taking a huge risk, but he asked Cameron to come over the bunker with Regee so they could have the conversation she demanded previously. It was already dark, and he waited anxiously in a private room inside the bunker, with a couple of chairs and a desk in the middle. The walls were white and so was the floor, but it was shiny and reflected what touched its surface. Isaac wouldn't talk to a stranger in the common areas of his house. where he lived everyday, so he decided to take the meeting to that place instead.
He sat in the chair waiting for Cameron to arrive. He responded the message as soon as he read it, ignoring instantly what just happened between him and Gavin. Sure it kept on his mind because he wanted that to happen for a while, but the mission will always come first to him. The thing between him and Gavin would stay aside if the mission had urgencies or something like it.
Isaac paced around the room as he read an article on his PAD about last episode at the State Union in Policy City the night before. It talked about the public's reaction and opinion towards that inhuman behavior coming from their President. Around 90% of the interviewed participants didn't approve and superficially criticized the President, while 6% didn't have an exact opinion about it and 4% approved the behavior, claiming that he was just assuring the honesty of his employees was totally clear. It made him feel mad to see that some people were so alienated that a murder of a 16 year old teenager was being publicly defended.
He dressed more suitable clothes for the occasion of meeting a stranger. He wore black shoes, pants that were loose over his legs painted in dark and light blue and a dark blue long sleeve shirt that were tight to his strong biceps and triceps. Isaac had a thing for the color blue in darker shades. Most of his clothes ran around those shades.
Lola was in the bunker too, as she said she would come back, and she warned him when Cameron arrived. She told Isaac that the boy was currently leading Regee to the room in case. When they arrived, the door was already opened, and Isaac left his PAD over the glass table in the middle of the room. Cameron got inside with Regee by his side. Isaac shook both their hands in greeting. Regee held that look over him, showing curiosity and uncertainty, as she noticed that little detail about him when she left the Institute that day.
"Hello, my boy Isaac." Cameron held a huge smile when greeted Isaac, who obviously didn't return. "I will leave you two alone. Lola asked me to stay there with her and Gavin while you two talk."
"Alright. I will let you know when we are done." Isaac said before Cameron nodded and left the room. Regee still didn't say anything, but her mind had lots of questions to make.
"So you're Isaac. I didn't catch your name when we talked yesterday." Isaac sat on a chair and Regee followed the act. They were sitting in front of each other.
"Why do you requested a talk with me, Regee?" Isaac went straight to the point like he always does.
"I found it curious that somehow you were in the Institute, which was closed, and an hour after I left the Federal Opus was over there. Not simply the Governmental Guard, but yes the Federal Opus. I wonder what you were doing to be in chase with them."
"Why does it matter? You stayed there for 10 minutes and got well payed for it. I thought it was enough."
"That money will be helpful for sure, but it's not about it. You had high quality equipment over a closed Institute, then you had a chase with the Federals and you obviously won it. Plus, I saw that your BioID is not lightened up. The only people with faded BioIDs are the renegades, but you don't live in the Abyss Zone. You live in an expansive bunker in the Capital. I am just curious about you." She had that defying tone in her voice that was also very confident. Isaac realized that and knew she was going to use it against it somehow. BioIDs, as the name suggests, are a way to quickly identify someone if it's needed. It is a thin rectangle located on the right part of the neck and is lighted up in blue when it is on, and black when off, just like Isaac's is.
