Days have gone by quickly inside the bunker. Gavin and Isaac agreed to focus on their mission and let their thing suspended for a while. As Isaac said before, the mission always comes first. So they were planning on finding out a way to find the monster and attack it. That matter was probably the most difficult so far because they had no clues on attracting the creature or tracking its location precisely. They did a couple online researches to see if anyone has ever done something similar, but nothing was found. They thought about the files they read over the ancient village the other day, but going back there was useless since the monster performed a massacre over there and every space with solid structures or barriers was destroyed.
Isaac and Gavin came up with a crazy ideia, but probably the easiest way they found to do such a thing. Since the curfew night from that month was about to come, and thousands of monsters would be running around in the capital, they were going to get out during the dangerous night in another ridiculously cold weather moment, having thick layers of snow covering roads, paths and everything else that didn't have a melter to help on.
Living taking risks. That was a phrase Isaac said once and they would make it literal sometime. He never risked going out in curfew nights, probably nobody ever did, not even the Guards and Opus militaries. The federals who acted in the boundaries of the country saw them more frequently, but since they were high in the mountains, the creatures couldn't reach them. Unfortunately, somehow once a month, they are able to pass through the mountains and hunt whoever gets in their way.
Isaac was not too afraid to face ordinary monsters because he had powerful bullets that could make their organisms explode with ease. What he feared the most was that walking shadow with a horrific face, having the big smile, round black eyes and white skin. He faced it before, and he didn't think the monster would let him live, but somehow it wanted Isaac and Gavin alive.
When it comes to Regee, she said earlier that day she was still working on the bones, affirming that was not her main work area, but that she could do it with time. Isaac was okay with it, he did not have much hurry in that matter yet. They needed to focus on finishing what they started first, so he could worry about that other thing.
Isaac and Gavin carried with them two automatic rifles, whose weapons had incredible rate of fire and supported the type of capsule they got their personalized bullets. They had 67 bullets since their chase with the Federal Opus made them waste three units of it, but both boys agreed that number was more than enough. The creature wouldn't handle 67 shots of 50000 fúrons of radiation, would it? Well, they were going to find out. In that day, Isaac and Gavin were making something remarkable, craving their names in Qorjal's history for the first time.
They would get the attention of the militaries as well, because the streets in curfew nights are empty, no one pass by anywhere and every commercial and public building closed the doors as the suns gave their lasts rays for the day. The cameras on the streets would get the car running around. They wouldn't get in a chase with any federals this time, but their presence would be noticed for sure.
"You ready?" Gavin asked while he put their guns in the backseat of another car Isaac had in the garage, since the last one was destroyed in the chase against the federals.
They wore specific clothing, resistant to falls, cold weather in extreme conditions and melee attacks. Obviously this is limited to human combats only, but it was best than wearing their usual clothes. The fabrics were not heavy as they sound, and they all were painted in dark blue tones, almost black. The boys were boots proper to walk on heavy snow and both swallowed some ionizing pills again because they would be close to radiation when shots were taken. Gavin said he didn't need to take it, but Isaac insisted and he gave in.
