The loneliness grew slowly, from the borders, like nothing was happening, but its presence was evident. Days have passed and Isaac still did not feel like talking to Gavin. He was more upset with himself than he was with Chemeris' first born, because all he did was insanely stupid and unecessary. Isaac was wondering about reaching out for Gavin so they could talk, but the boy didn't came out of his bedroom for days and Isaac couldn't remember precisely the last time he saw Gavin's body walking around the bunker.
The truth was that Gavin wasn't mad at Isaac, but he felt it was wrong to just accept Isaac's conditions. In Gavin's mind, Isaac was being selfish, thinking about him and himself only, and for him, it shouldn't be like this in any type of relationship, even if they were in love or if they were just friends. Isaac needed to learn how to separate things, because in the end, Gavin still didn't do nothing wrong.
They could not deny they were feeling lonely. Lola hadn't come back in the bunker since her fight with Isaac, so the boys were pratically living alone at the moment. Isaac cooked the meals and saved a portion for Gavin because he was aware he didn't know how to do it, and Gavin just ate it when Isaac wasn't around in the common areas of the bunker. A complete drama coming from both boys.
The night just had begun that day. Isaac was in his bedroom searching somethings in the computer, while the TV was on in the background. He did everything he could to keep his mind busy, because he just thought about one thing. Also the mission was left aside due to that matter, even though he said previously the mission would always come first, but Isaac couldn't help, the situation was eating his sanity and all his neurouns.
He was all focused on the screen when his ears caught something on the televison, a rough electronic voice saying 'IMMEDIATE NEWS', and then Lola's mother appeared in front of the TV inside the broadcasting studio she worked at night. Isaac didn't give much attention to it at first, but as the anchor explained the situation, he got up the chair to give a look on the news.
"Good night all citizens of Qorjal. Through this emergency call, we come to inform a live attack inside the Castiller Commercial Center, in downtown Qorjal. The author of the attack is described as a 'black shadowed creature' by the civilians who could exit the building before the massacre had started. The Federal Opus and the Tactical Flying Forces are reaching the place at this instant, and as Mr. President ordered, they are free to use many power as they need and every authority entity in the country is commanded to get to the building as soon as possible. The President also ordered every building in a 5 kilometer radius to be evacuated until the creature is captured and killed. We are coming back later with more updates."
Now a live footage from an helicopter was being shown. Isaac saw one of the biggest skyscrapers of the capital with windows destroyed, smoke coming out of it, and with the furniture inside completely teared apart. The 'black creatue' Lola's mother just mentioned was familiar to him. It was the twin brother of the monster he killed with Gavin the other day, and by each second that passed, it made more innocent victims inside that building.
That was the moment when Isaac got out of his room and went to Gavin's door to call him out. The sudden courage that settled into his body was due the emergency obviously. If it didn't happen, Isaac wouldn't be coming to him. He knocked on the door but Gavin did not answer, then he closed his hand and beat on it slightly, so Gavin would be startled by the noise.
The door was open but the boy was nowhere to be seen. Isaac got inside desperately looking for him. He was going to enter the bathroom to check if Gavin was there, but in his way to the room, he bumped with Gavin already getting out of it. "Ugh. What do you want, Isaac?" Gavin passed past Isaac without touching him.
"The monster is attacking a building in downtown. We need to leave." He answered stiffly. "I opened the box with the suits, it will be safe for us to go, but we need to leave now, Gavin." The other boy's reaction was of confusion. Gavin wondered if Isaac really meant what he was saying.
