1999

Tuesday October 5th.

Ginny and I will be moving out of Hermione's Ron's and Harry's apartment in a few weeks, and Ginny and I haven't found our perfect apartment yet, we want it to be small but not cramped, more spacy than it seems from the outside. We want the perfect view but also close to the bookshop where I work. So we have a lot of expectations. We have looked at more than twenty apartments but none of them feels right. But we might have found the perfect one today.

It's a small apartment, but there is a loft right under the ceiling that we are both in love with, the loft is right above the livingroom, and aside from that there is a small kitchen that has just been renovated, the entire apartment is brand new, and everything seems so fresh and at home. Beside from the loft there is also a bedroom downstairs and everything about this apartment just feels right so when the landlord tells us that we have to be quick because there are a lot of people who wants this apartment.

As soon as we heard that we just gave each other a look, and then we said in unison: "We'll take it."

And the landlord answered: "But you will have to be able to move in on the fifteenth. Is that possible for you."

We had planned with Hermione that we wouldnt move before next month but if we can move in here in ten days, it's worth it.

"It'll be possible for us to move in even before the fifteenth." Ginny says calmy.

"Great, you can move in between the tenth and the fifteenth if that will work for you." The landlord answers.

"That'll be perfect." I say

"Great you come pick up the key on sunday." The landlord continues.

"Great see you then." I say and then Ginny and I leave the apartment feeling excited. We just got our first apartment together, we'll have to pack down our room in less than a week, but we have nothing around the apartment except our room so it wouldnt be that big of a problem.

Back home Hermione greets us saying: "Harlow, there is something you should know."

She seems worried. So I ask: "What is it Mione?"

Hermione: "We don't have three owl's anymore."

"What do you mean?" I ask

Hermione: "Celestia has flown away."

"How?"

Hermione: "The window was open when we left and when Ron and I came back she wasnt here."

"Okay, how could you be so careless?" I shout: "Where is the others."

"Astra was in her cage where you left her and Indi was in my room where the door was closed so she's safe too." Hermione says, trying to calm me down which is not working.

"Where is Harry? Does he know?" I yell.

"He's with Draco, he hasn't been home since."

I can't stand another word so I go to mine and Ginny's room and close the door behind me.

--

A few hours later Harry comes back home and I hear Hermione tell him about Celestia.

"She didnt fly away." Harry says.

which get's me curious so I leave the room so I can hear the rest of the conversation, they don't know that I am listening because there is a wall between me and them.

Hermione: "She didnt fly away? But the window was open."

Harry: "Just let me explain please."

Hermione: "Fine, explain."

Harry: "I left the window open to my room so you would think she had flown away, but the truth is, after I knew you and Ron had left I came back and took her. I went to the nearest petshop and got great money for her."

"You sold her?" Hermione says angrily

Harry: "Yes, I did, I couldn't stand seeing her anymore, she reminds me of Hedwig, and I never wanted to replace Hedwig, so I went behind Harlow's back and sold Celestia."

Hermione: "You know she'll be mad if you tell her, right."

Harry: "Thats why I won't tell her, and neither will you."

Hermione: "She's my sister, I can't lie to her."

Harry: "But she can't know."

Hermione: "But why, I think she would understand, she wouldn't replace Astra if she died."

Harry: "You really think she will understand?"

Hermione: "Maybe, she has differnt reaction to everything. But you won't know before you tell her."

Harry: "I'm not sure I want to take a risk with a bear, if she gets mad."

"Right choice Harry" I think to myself, I would understand him, but right now I'm mad at him for not telling me what he was doing, I thought I was doing a good thing, turns out; I. Was. Wrong.
