Wednesday October 20th
Today I wanted to something that I have always wanted, a tattoo, I made the appointment a week ago and right now I am on my way to my appointment, Ginny left the apartment a few days ago and I should be alone for a month as she is playing a few games around the world and has training too, so I decided to do this for me. I haven't told anyone, not even Hermione, she knows that I want to have tattoos yes, but she's kind of against it, mostly because that in the wizarding world, tattoos only belong to death eaters. But I don't care because mine has nothing to do with Voldemort or evil itself.
The tattoo I'm getting is a lotus on the back of my forearm, and I'm really excited to get it done.
I parked the car close to the tattoo parlor, and went in with my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and fear.As I approached the counter, a friendly tattoo artist named Jake greeted me with a warm smile. "Hey there! What can I do for you today?" he asked.
"I'm here to get a tattoo," I replied, trying to sound confident despite the trembling in my voice.
I told Jake that I wanted a lotus and he said: "Great choice! Lotuses are beautiful and meaningful tattoos. Have a seat, and let's talk about your design," Jake said, encouragingly.
I took a deep breath and sat down, explaining my idea to Jake. I had drawn a sketch of the lotus, Jake listened attentively and offered some suggestions to make the design even more personal and unique. We worked together, fine-tuning the details until the lotus design felt perfect to me.
With the design settled, Jake prepared his equipment, and I filled out the necessary paperwork. My nerves were still on edge, but I reminded myself of the significance behind the tattoo, which reassured me.
Sitting in the chair, I rested my forearm on a padded cushion, trying to relax. The buzz of the tattoo machine filled the room, and my heart rate quickened. As Jake started the first stroke, I winced at the unfamiliar sensation. It wasn't unbearably painful, but it was more intense than I had imagined. I took a deep breath and focused on the beautiful meaning behind the lotus, letting the significance carry me through the experience.
As time passed, I started to get used to the sensation, and my body began to relax. I engaged in conversation with Jake, asking him about his favorite tattoos and sharing stories about my life. It became more than just an artistic process; it became a meaningful interaction.
With each stroke of the tattoo machine, I felt a mixture of pain and pride. The pain symbolized the challenges I had overcome in my life, while the pride came from knowing I was embracing my individuality and commemorating my personal growth.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity and yet too soon, Jake wiped away the excess ink, and the lotus tattoo was complete. I gazed at the intricate design on my forearm, my eyes welling up with tears of joy. It was more beautiful than I had imagined, and the lotus held a profound significance in my life – a reminder of my journey towards self-discovery and inner peace.
"Thank you so much, Jake. This means a lot to me," I said, my voice filled with gratitude.
Jake smiled warmly. "You're welcome. It was a pleasure tattooing you, Harlow. Remember to take good care of it during the healing process."
As I left the tattoo parlor, I felt a newfound sense of empowerment. The pain I endured during the tattooing process felt like a rite of passage, transforming me into someone stronger, more resilient. I looked down at my lotus tattoo, and a sense of calm washed over me. This was just the beginning of my journey into the world of tattoos, and I couldn't wait to add more stories to my skin.
I drove back to the apartment and flopped on the couch, petting with Astra and read books for the rest of the evening.
