Wednesday October 27th

It's been a few days since I spoke to Abigail, and the more I have thought about it I think I'm going to say yes, not for the money, not for the fact that she suports lesbians but because I feel like doing something good for others and Abigail seemed desperate. So I decided to call her today. And she picked up instantly:

"Hi, this is Harlow from the bookstore." 

"Hi Harlow, did you think about my offer?" Abigail said over the phone.

"Yes I did, and I'm going to take it, but I would like to meet your daughter and her fiance before the wedding, just to get to know them and their style for the painting."

Abigail: "Yes that can be arraged, would the twenty-seventh of November be a fit for you?"

"Yes, I can make that work."

Abigail: "Great see you then, I'll send a car to the bookstore to come and pick you up, be there at nine am."

"I'll be there thank you, but about the payment, how much is it, and can it be in cash?" 

Abigail: "I'll pay you 2000 dollars for painting plus the expenses for traveling."

"Traveling?" I ask

Abigail: "Yes the wedding is going to be at our beach house in Brazil."

"Okay, I can make that work." 

Abigail: "But we will discuss everything in a month, bye Harlow."

"Bye." 

And just like that the call ended. 2000 dollars just for one of my paintings, plus travel to Brazil in February, I cant believe it. I have to tell Ginny. 

But she is in Scotland, and she doenst know how to use the phone. We'll figure something out the next time she is home.

As I cant get in contact with Ginny I decide to call Hermione, and she picks up after a few rings:

Hermione: "Hi sis, what's up?"

"I just got off the phone with Abigail Murphy."

Hermione: "You sound excited."

"I am, I'm going to Brazil in February, and she is paying me 2000 dollars."

Hermione: "2000 dollars, just for a live painting?"

"Yes, plus expenses."

Hermione: "Holy shit, you are lucky."

"Indeed I am, and then I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go out tonight?"

Hermione: "Like to bars and stuff?"

"No uhm out to eat, but we can go to bars on saturday if you want."

Hermione: "I would love to, but have you started drinking yet?"

"Yeah, Ginny and I have been out a few times, but I've never been like drunk."

Hermione: "You'll have to try getting drunk, its more fun than you think, except the hangover of course."

"You speak from expirience I hear?"

Hermione: "I might have started a little at Hogwarts with Fred, George, Harry and Ron."

"Really, cool, but did you want to go out tonight?"

Hermione: "Yeah, shall we meet at our restaurant at seven pm?"

"Yes let's do that, are you calling ahead?"

Hermione: "Yes, I'll do that."

"Great, see you then."

Hermione hung up, and I sat down on the couch and started reading a bit.
