Thirteen

"Hey" I say to Zephyr, he has brown contacts on as he picks up the girls. Because Bella barely speaks Italian I ask "A che ora dovrei aspettarmi di vedere le ragazze?" What time should I expect to see the girls?

"Li lascerò, Charlie mi ha detto come stai cenando con lui dopo la scuola" I'm going to drop them off, Charlie told me how your having dinner with him after school nodding my head, we hear the girls as they run to their dad who picks them both up "we'll see you later, say by to mommy"

"Bye mommy" waving their hands

"Bye my little loves" kissing their cheeks, I grab my backpack before leaving. Going over to my car, I see Bella storm past me going to the driver's side "what are you doing?"

"Your not having the cool entrance with the cool car" she opens the door before frowning "why is the driver's side on the right?"

"Because in England they don't drive on the right but the left" going over to the driver's seat "and you have your own vehicle, take that one"

"No" she complains "it's shit"

"Like you" shoving her aside that she falls into the mud, I get in before driving away. Unlike Bella who I saw was all covered up, I'm in in a dark red crop top with black skinny jeans and white sneakers, I have a black hooded slather jacket to go with my outfit.

It takes about twenty minutes till I get to school, once here I park near the school next to two other cars that are really nice looking silver sedan—this car is much better looking than the other cars here. Only two other nice looking cars are here. I hear a farting sound to look over snickering at Bella's truck and how it makes a farting noise when you park it.

Going inside, I head to the front desk "Leralynn Swan"

The receptionist nods her head "Your time table, locker—your books are all in there" she explains to me "and you need all your teachers to sign this" taking the sheet, I head to my locker. It's the middle of the semester, March—doesn't matter what time of the year it is. Your the new person, everyone wants to get to know you or pay attention to you since your interesting at the moment but also an outsider.

"Hi" looking over this teenager with Asian features, straight black hair, and black eyes looks at me "your Leralynn Swan right? I'm Eric the eyes and ears of this place. Anything you need: tour guide, lunch date, shoulder to cry on..." raising my eyebrow at him.

"Call me Lera" I tell him

"I'm Bella" we look over to see Bella on Eric's other side "I'm more of a suffer in silence type" if you were, you wouldn't have introduced yourself.

"Oh right" nodding his head "your the Chief's other daughter" word must have been told how Bella threw a tantrum years ago, I am smiling on the inside. Looking over at me "you went to England right?"

"Yeah" nodding my head

"And came back with two bastards" Bella mutters

I glare at Bella "Your a single mom?" Eric asks, nodding my head "that's cool"

"It is?" We both ask

Nodding his head "You'll be perfect for the headline: teenage single mom doing it all"

"No" Bella shakes her head stuttering "can you not have either of us" I'm very certain she was dropped on her head, I mean he was obviously talking about me since she doesn't have kids.

"Hey, it's okay" he assured her "no feature"

"Eric?" I ask, he looks my way "which way is it to my Spanish Class?" I had just begun starting Spanish this year after taking this exam that tests if your fluent in a language. So far I'm fluent in English, Italian, Greek—both modern and ancient since Zephyr teaches me and the girls—and French. Now I'm learning Spanish.

"This way" he motions "yeah, I've got the same class as you"

"Cool" nodding my head

"So what was it like" he asks "living in England?"

"It was amazing" I tell him "I lived in this boarding house called Anubis House"

"After the Egyptian God of Death?" He asks "he's like Hades right?"

"Yeah" nodding my head "the school I went to Amun Academic Boarding School? The boarding houses were all named after the gods and goddess of Egyptian Mythology" getting to our first class, Spanish I get my paper signed before am seated next to Emmett Cullen. Why does that name sound familiar? Taking in Emmett's features I realize why it was familiar, he's a cold one vampire. Fair skin, looks really beautiful and golden eyes but to be sure "hi, I'm Lera"

He takes my hand and his ice cold hand causes goosebumps to go over my skin "Emmett" Emmett is big with huge muscles "your one of Chief Swan's girls aren't you?"

"Yeah" nodding my head, can't let him know I'm afraid or anything. Need to remain calm and collected. The less he knows the better. Just get through this year. I'll ask Zephyr more about the Cullens.

After a few more classes, all which are boring since these lessons were covered in Boarding School but History do I just doodle. At gym, we have either basketball or volleyball. I unfortunately share this class with Bella who is very uncoordinated.

When Bella goes to hit, she spikes to hit me but I duck and it hits someone else. "Sorry" I apologize to the guy as I get the ball. He has dirty blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin.

He turns around to look at me smiling "No, no...it's alright. Your Leralynn right?"

"Lera" nodding my head "how do you know I'm not my sister Bella?"

"Lucky guess" he says holding his hand out and I take it "I'm Mike, Mike Newman—is it true you went to school in England?"

Nodding my head "Yeah nice meeting you"

"I'm Bella" looking over we see Bella by my side.

"Mike" he shakes her hand "Mike Newman"

"She's got a great spike" we see this peppy girl who reminds me of Amber come over but this girl has brown eyes, light brown hair and rosy pale skin "I'm Jessica by the way"

"Lera" greeting her as Bella says "Bella"

"Your from Arizona right?" She asks. Nodding our heads "aren't people from there supposed to be really tan, I see the tan in Lera"

"Maybe that's why they kicked me out" Bella says

Jessica laughs "Funny"

"We better get back to the game" I suggest wanting to be done with this. Plus if Bella wants to suffer in silence, she should have just shut up and not introduced herself. Attention seeking slut.
