As Kruoo waited for someone to answer the door, he couldn't help but overhear the very concerning sounds coming from inside the house.
"PUT THAT POT DOWN KODA, IT'S NOT FOR PEEING." Then the door swung open and suddenly Kuroo was met with a very stressed you!
"Hi," he smiled.
"Hi," you said awkwardly and then moved aside. "Come in or whatever." Kuroo chuckled and entered, but first took his shoes out of normal courtesy. But in your house, doing this was dangerous."You shouldn't have removed your shoes," you told him.
"Huh? Why not?" He smiled, thinking you were joking.
"They will use it against you." Kuroo wasn't quite sure what you meant and he wasn't entirely sure if he wanted to."Oh," he said and followed after you while you led him down a hallway, the concerning sounds still vibrating around the house. "Are those your six siblings?" He asked you.
"Yeah," you sighed. "Not sure if they're human though. Try to avoid them the best you can or they may try and capture you. They did that with the mail man." Kuroo laughed but stopped when he saw the very serious look on your face.
"Anyway," you said and opened a door. "This is my room." You allowed Kuroo in first, a little anxious to see what he would think of it.
Your family didn't have a lot of money so your room wasn't flashy. People had made fun of you for being poor when you were a kid so that fear of someone finding out was still installed.
"It's cosy," he smiled. "Very you." He said as he went to pick up a weird stuffed toy you had made in textiles.
After hearing Kuroo say this, you felt a little more relieved and also another sensation in your stomach that was getting harder to ignore.
"Sooo," you said. "Do you want a drink or something?" Kuroo looked over at you and then put the strange creation down.
"Nah I'm good." He shook his head with a smile."That's probably a smart choice, I don't know if the tap water is safe to have after Asami experimented with the pipes."
"I'm starting to think you're making these kids up because there's no way."
"Unfortunately, they are very much real." At that moment, you and Kuroo both jumped at the sound of a loud crash outside your window.Kuroo stood there as you rushed over and opened your window.
"JIRO! ARE YOU OKAY?!" All your little brother did was send you a little thumbs up from the ground. At least it wasn't a big drop, but he still could have gotten hurt."Why did you think that would be a good idea?!"
"Koda dared me to!" He responded. You just sighed and closed the window."Sorry," you said to Kuroo, a little embarrassed with how unhinged your siblings were.
"It's fine," he said. "Is he okay?"
"Yeah he's fine, he does shit like that all the time."
"Oh."
"Yeah." You shrugged.***
After about an hour of studying together, you started to feel hungry and asked Kuroo if he wanted a snack. He said sure and so you went to go some chips and biscuits.
When you came back, Kuroo was gone, and instant fear struck you.
"Oh, no," you said. You put the bag of chips and biscuits down and ran upstairs to check all of your siblings rooms. That's when you heard a cheering come from Naoki's and burst into the room. And just as you were expecting, there Kuroo was, tied up with all your siblings gathered around chanting "cook the rooster!"
It was a little funny, but still really annoying.
"Guys! You promised you'd stop doing this!" Your siblings all backed away from you as you stormed over and untied Kuroo."It's okay." He smiled at you. "I don't mind being tied up." You paused and after a few seconds, so did Kuroo as he realised how bad that had sounded. He blushed and looked away as you did the same and cleared your throat.
"Are we in trouble?" Naoki asked.
"Yes!" You said standing up, thankful that someone had spoken to break the tension. "You can't kidnap people guys! Even if it is just pretend.""But he said he liked being tied up!" Koda spoke causing Kuroo to choke on his own spit and break into a sweat.
"No," you said. "Just stop, okay? We have studying to get done. I'll be your prisoner later but no cooking our guests!""Sorry," the six of them all said in unison.
"It's okay," you sighed. "And no more daring each other to jump out of windows."
"Yes, Y/n," they said.***
Back in your room, the tension was worse than it was before. Ten minutes had passed since your siblings kidnapped Kuroo and neither of you had spoken a word since.
Awkwardly, you tapped your pencil and then twirled it around trying to think of something to say but came up with nothing.
"Uh," your head shot up to Kuroo who was rubbing his neck. "Your siblings sure are...something," he said.
"Yeah," you laughed awkwardly looking down at your hands. A few more awkward moments passed of utter silence and you just couldn't take it anymore.
"Hey," you said and Kuroo looked up at you. "Do you wanna have a break?"
Kuroo put his pencil down and smiled.
"Sure," he said. "What do you wanna do?"
"My mum asked me to cook a cake for Mika, her birthday is in a day or so, do you wanna help?"
"Yeah," he said. "That sounds fun."To be continued...
