On the way to school, you got a call from no one other than Riku.
"What?"
"Damn, good morning to you too," he laughed.
"I'm in a bad mood, okay? They don't have my favourite chocolate milk!"
"My condolences."
"Shove it up your ass," you said, making Riku laugh. It was so loud so you pulled the phone away from your ear and then held it back when he stopped. "You good?"
"Yeah," he said. "Anyway because I'm the best friend ever, I already got you some and I'm waiting at the entrance for you."
You halted in the middle of the pathway. "Are you serious?"
"Yup."
"I'll be there in five minutes." Without another word, you hung up the phone and was about to dash toward the entrance before hitting straight into what you thought was a wall but was instead a person.
"Fuck sorry," you said and stumbled back in embarrassment. Bumping into people was the worst. It was awkward and you always felt bad.
"Uh no you're fine," said the person. And that person was Kuroo.
As soon as he spoke, your heart stopped. You looked up and saw his face clear as day. Yup, it was definitely him.
"Why are you here so late?" Over and over in your mind you slapped yourself. Why would you say that? He's gonna get suspicious!
"Sorry?" His eyebrows knitted together and he tilted his head. You scoffed silently thinking how more nice and gentle he could get. Then you remembered how he was to other teams and in practise matches you'd seen a couple of times. He was a douchebag which you thought was pretty hilarious.
"Never mind," you said and walked away without looking back. Once you were out of his sight, you hid behind a bush and texted Riku right away.
