Minjae looked back and forth between Sumin and Jinsik, a confused frown decorating his expression. "You two?"

"Yes."

"Together."

"Yes."

"As in... dating?"

Jinsik looked at Sumin before nodding and looking at the ground. "Y-Yes."

Minjae hummed, crossing his arms. "I see. How long?"

"Well, since yesterday," Sumin answered. "It was just... mutual feelings being met, I suppose."

Minjae looked between the two, his eyebrow still raised before he sighed, shaking his head. "I suppose a congratulations is in place. As long as the relationship is forgotten during missions, by all means - be happy together. It's selfish of me to stop you two from being in love, but as long as it doesn't affect work. Okay?"

Jinsik and Sumin seemed to be beyond relieved as they nodded excitedly, and Minjae could only smile at their happiness. He stood up, and the two quickly bowed as he left the room. His comm rang in his pocket, and he quickly answered, lifting the device to his ear.

"Speak."

"Minjae-ya! My dear friend! Any progress with your team?"

"Oh, Yixing-nim," Minjae hummed. "Well... they're a little sceptical. You're part of One Percent, and I suppose that threw them off a bit. They're not quite fond of the idea."

"Oh, that's a shame," the person on the comm hummed. "Well, tell them this - if they agree to the plan, I'll give each of them 100 million won to play around with - with separate fees for their gadgets. This is all just to keep Mount Taixuan safe - not necessarily just my family and myself."

"100 mi-" Minjae paused in place. Money like that was pocket change to him - to someone that has to fight for survival every day in the slums, it would be life-changing. "And what about housing?"

"Anything you'd like. Would you prefer to live together, or have individual homes?"

"I would actually like to discuss that with them," Minjae answered. "I'm sure the money would motivate their decision to come to Mount Taixuan."

"You know, Minjae... there's no one more capable of this job than you and the rest of XIKERS. I encourage you to take this role."

"We have two more jobs here - and hopefully, we'll be able to come to Mount Taixuan after it."

"That's good to hear. Keep safe, my dear friend."

"Of course, hyung. Goodbye." Yixing was the first to hang up. Minjae stared at the comm device in his hands before pocketing it. His expression blanked for a second, feeling a presence behind him. "What's wrong, Yujun?"

"Why do you suddenly want to leave to Mount Taixuan?"

"We're just relocating-"

"Is it about your brother?"

Minjae fell silent, avoiding eye contact with the boy behind him. He let out a scoff-like laugh, finally turning his gaze to face the innocent face of the new boy. "K isn't my brother. He has never seen me like one. Don't refer to that... person as my brother."

"Well, whatever he is, it seems that you're running away from him," Yujun continued. "If it's not inappropriate to ask... why exactly are you running away from him? Everyone seems to know the surface of the story, but..."

"I killed his mother and he has hated me since," Minjae told him quickly. "She was trafficking humans, especially little girls, and I couldn't stand to see such a person living a good life. DUEN disbanded and K formed Ghosteye out of the remaining members. It's his goal to take my life and my Signet, so... I suppose I am running away."

"I can kill him for you."

"Yujun...-"

"I'm serious," Yujun spoke firmly. "He's got a knowledge capsule with Jinsik's signature, right? That's all his memories and behaviours. But Jinsik has never known me before this. K doesn't necessarily know me. I can take him out."

"I don't want to kill him," Minjae said softly. "Despite how much he hates me, he... still raised me for a few years. The least I can do is kill him myself. He can keep our business between us, but he involved one of my members and nearly killed him. Pissed me off a little. I have to take his life on my own, Yujun. Thank you for the offer, though."

Yujun could feel his heart pulsing in his chest. "Well, let me help."

"I don't want any of you involved with K and myself," the older spoke sternly. "I've been a little too friendly recently. Just follow my instructions. I've never made a bad decision."

"I can't just sit idle and watch as that man tries to kill you-"

"Yujun, that's enough." Minjae's unchanging expression, showing the slightest of irritance in his eyes, was enough to silence Yujun. Minjae turned away quickly, letting out a long sigh. "We have to break into a ship tonight. Everyone is on deck tonight, because this'll be a huge mission. I'll meet up at 2pm for a meeting regarding tonight's mission."

"Yes, hyung."

Minjae walked away without another word. Yujun felt slightly intimidated for a second - Minjae looked oddly terrifying when he was upset. Despite his soft and gentle features, his anger was quickly apparent. Yujun didn't enjoy what had just happened. He scoffed to himself as he turned around.

"I'll prove my damn worth to this group."

"Does anyone know where Yujun went? I haven't seen him since this afternoon."

"He scanned a location into his watch from the main computer," Junmin responded, glancing up at Hyunwoo as he and Seeun entered the main room. "Can't say where, really. I can check his location from here."

"He ran off suddenly," Hyunwoo said as they stopped in front of Junmin's desk. "Isn't it common courtesy to say where you're going instead of just... running off? He couldn't have gone far, either - it's only been an hour."

"Think again." Junmin turned his screen to face the other two, causing the two to widen their eyes. "He's all the way in Deogim District - quadrant C at the furthermost sector. What groups are located there?"

Seeun looked at Junmin with worried, shaking pupils. "Ghosteye."

"What the hell is he doing in Ghosteye territory?" Hyunwoo asked hurriedly. "Why didn't you stop him?! Didn't we just have that K infiltration-"

"That's not all," Junmin interrupted. "Hunter's KS76 LIFELINEs are not operating near the entrances and exits. Our entrypoint is undefended. We're also missing a M762 from storage - I think Yujun took it."

"He's going to kill them all," Seeun muttered. "If Yujun starts up gunfire, it could flare up the civil war between Ghosteye and XIKERS. Junmin, can't you ping him?"

"He's far too close to Ghosteye HQ - I think it's too late," Junmin sighed. "Better pack your bags - we might have to relocate to Mount Taixuan whether we want to or not. From what I've heard about Yujun, no one is leaving that place alive. With his Signet silencing his movement, he'll only be that more of a threat," Junmin hummed, glancing up at Seeun. "Are those rumours true, by the way? Of him killing off so many people for the fun of it?"

"I can't be sure of the extent," Seeun replied, eyes still worried. "I'm just... scared. Will he be okay?"

"No doubt about it," Hyunwoo scoffed slightly, "because he must be extremely gifted to work beside Minjae so quickly."

Yujun stood outside the building, eyes busily glancing from left to right for any presence of people. He found none so far, so he entered silently. Any person that was around didn't even take a second glance at him. He was quiet, moving without any sound.

"Huh - the security here sucks. Might be easy to find K after all."

Yujun cracked his knuckles, reaching behind him to pull out the M762 from his back, loading the magazine and made his way further in. He saw a camera, aimed his gun at it and fired a single bullet to start off his rampage.
