"So what's your relationship with Yujun, exactly?"

Seeun hummed in thought, glancing beside him at a curious Yechan. "Yujun and I? Well... we're close."

"Close in what way, you nerd?" Yechan snapped, clearly growing impatient with how vague Seeun's words were. "Was he your boyfriend or something?"

"How could he have been? We were 12 when we split up, we didn't think with romantic feelings back then," Seeun said quickly, rolling his eyes as he leaned back in his seat. "Yujun and I... were raised like brothers. We survived together after our parents were killed during the Riot. We got pulled into Eidolon together, but... there was an accident, and we ended up splitting apart."

"The terf war?" Seeun nodded, falling silent for a moment. Yechan bit his lip nervously before deciding to speak up. "Well... you seem to be okay with him...?"

"Yeah, but only because he looks really cute."

"Gross," Junghoon muttered, looking away from the other two. "I wouldn't have forgiven him. Something like that is too great of a mental burden."

"Well, my mental abilities are stronger than yours," Seeun said, scoffing childishly. Junghoon just frowned, shaking his head as he proceeded to ignore him. "In any case, I just don't think about it. I understand why he did what he did - we have to survive out here. Not to mention, we were 12 and emotionally underdeveloped."

"But if you made the promise to stay together—"

"We never really made promises, " the tallest interrupted. "I just... silently hoped that Yujun and I would be together forever. When puberty started, I... got a crush on him - but then he did what he did. I was devastated, but something inside me didn't want to believe that Yujun could do something like that."

"In any case, your beloved Yujunnie is a little killer, and he knows exactly what he's doing," Yechan said, leaning back into his seat. "Apparently, he's killed off most of his group members in every drifter group he's been in. Travonius was eradicated - all fourteen of them - because of him."

"I'm well aware of what he is capable of," Seeun told them. "Everyone's heard the rumours and stories of Yujun - that's why I told Minjae to look for him. He's a valuable asset - and, hopefully, a loyal member to the team."

Junghoon silently stood up from his chair, causing the other two to frown in confusion. "Where are you going?" Yechan asked quickly, causing the other to turn around.

"Hyunwoo asked for assistance with his gagdet," was Junghoon's simple response. "If you need me, I'll be in his storage room - but don't look for me, please."

Junghoon quietly left, leaving the other two confused of him as usual. Seeun simply shook his head, resting his head against his palm. He then turned to Yechan with a small smirk. "Yujun kissed me."

"What?!"

Yujun quietly waited outside the supply store, listening in carefully to the conversation between the owner and Hunter carefully. "Thanks, Uncle. When's the next shipment?"

"Two nights from now," a much older voice responded. "Gwango Habour. Ask for Donghan and Jang Daehyeon. They've been in the business for a few years, so they know what they're doing. Should be a casing of six knowledge capsules."

Knowledge capsules?

"What do they contain?"

"Medical history of IDYPIA's leader — all the medication she requires to survive," the old man replied. "Not sure what sickness she has and what she needs. IDYPIA is located in quadrant B as well, so it will make more territory for XIKERS."
