"So you didn't run that far."
K stood at the edge of the building, a burning cigarette held stressfully between his fingers. "You found me."
"Yujun found you."
K chuckled, tossing the cigarette beside his sneaker and stepping on it. "Of course he did." He turned around to face Minjae, hopping off the edge of the building and reaching to his thigh, taking a deagle out the holster. "This one's familiar, isn't it?"
"..."
"You used it to kill my mom," K continued, tossing the gun to the ground in front of Minjae. "Have it. It's yours. Don't know why I kept it, it any case."
"I don't want the gun," Minjae said firmly, his gaze remaining unchanging. "You know, this means you've lost."
"Yeah, I suppose so," K laughed, shaking his head. "I have no regrets. Well, I think I shouldn't have let that boy live. What was his name again? Jinsik? Yeah, I think I should've killed him myself in the same merciless way you killed my entire group. One of us is a monster, and it's not me."
Minjae fell silent. K stepped towards him, stuffing his hands into his pockets wordlessly. The air was thick enough to cut through it with a knife — or to shoot it with a bullet. "One of us is a bad person."
"Well, I didn't kill 36 innocent people!" K exclaimed suddenly. "If you let me live, I will guilt you forever. I will torment your small existence with the fact that you allowed that little shithead of yours to kill of another group. And for what? For fun? He could've just killed me instead, the fucking bastard."
"It's a dog-eat-dog world out here, K! Someone always has to fucking die!" Minjae yelled. "I'm sorry it had to be your group. I'm sorry that we could never get along. I'm sorry that XIKERS ended up winning."
K lowered his head, letting out a small laugh. "Right." He took his hand out his pocket, tossing a set of keys beside the gun on the ground. "Keys to my warehouse. Since you've won, you can have everything — that includes my life."
Minjae's stance faltered, his grip loosening on the gun in his hands. "K, don't do this."
"Don't call me by that unfamiliar name, Minjae."
"I can't call you Yudai anymore."
"God, Minjae, you took everything from me! At least kill me off and be nice about it! I'm not going to fucking change and I will always resent you. I won't find it in me to forgive you."
"..."
"So just kill me already. I'm sick of your face."
Minjae lowered his gun with a heavy sigh. "So there's no chance of change at all? You have nothing remaining of Ghosteye. What if we...—"
"God fucking no, Minjae. I just want you to kill me and get it over with," K scoffed. "What, do you want me to list off the reasons as to why I hate you first? I have nothing anymore."
"You bastard, I'm giving you a second chance!"
"I will never see you as a brother to me!"
Minjae paused. He looked away upon realising that K had tears in his eyes. "Well, what if tried again, huh? What if we just... forget everything? I know Ghosteye meant nothing to you — but XIKERS is a family. I... I don't want to kill you, Yudai."
K scoffed out a laugh, shaking his head. "After I accepted that you're going to kill me? Come on..."
"I won't treat you nicely at all," Minjae said softly. "I'll lock you up and be all mad and angry at you, but I won't kill you. Is that okay? I don't make mistakes — taking your life, I feel, is something... that I'd regret."
